I like Avila. He can play OC or OG.

Chandler Zavala is one of my pet cats.

College RT Darnell Wright could play OG.

I don't get the high rankings for Cody Mauch. He is scrappy but multiple OL after him on the list look better to me.

Have to agree on Mauch. The guy has a great motor and never quits but physically?

We have to consider Tackle converts to Guards as the Cowboys have an history of doing that. Clearly they are targeting big heavy Guards. I rather have a prospect who is ready strength wise and needs technique, then a Guard who needs time to get stronger. I like Avilia, but I think 26 is too rich for him. Schmitz is my favorite in the class. Really like what I saw watching Mafi, he may need time, but he looks to destroy his opponent like Tyler in college.

Schmitz is 301 pounds. OC only.

Avila 330.

Mafia is very powerful. Needs a lot of work but nice upside.

Connor Williams played OG...
"Played" is the pivotal word.....he was awful in my opinion.
Give me a physically imposing road grader who can pass block. As for positional flex, with the above characteristics, Avila from TCU and Tipperman from Wisconsin are better fits for immediate need and offer options in the event we don't chose to resign our current center next off season.

Today on the NFL Network (on NFL Now), Jane Slater said that some inside the Cowboys organization view Avila as a more talented, more mobile Ron Leary.

If that is the case, the team is really going to like Avila. Like Slater said, they’ve been trying to replace Leary ever since he left.

I could see Avila being the pick in the 1st. I'd rather try and trade to top of 2nd for him...but would be ok with it

Not sure I understand, Dane has Tippmann ranked higher than Skoronski?

They are grouped by position, he is apart of the G/T
That makes more sense, I'm pretty sure Mauch played OT at ND St but maybe everyone already assumes he'll move to OG due to arm length.

Are we going to reach for Avila or Torrence in the first, I suppose on whether one of them is a ...'must have and won't be there in 2nd pick' (ala Tyler).

I don't think we will, unless more of a wipeout scenario. Avilia could be there at 58 , at 26 he would be a reach my opinion. Torrence is rated higher, but don't think the team is interested.

I like Tippmann more than most apparently. Would much rather take him in the 2nd than Avila in the 1st. They are very similar players

That's where most are projecting him.
