Dane said after top 2 or so, teams will have these prospects all over the place!

It's Jeanty. Make peace with it now. Jerry's lazy, he's bitter about not getting Brooks last year, and Jeanty is from Frisco. It's a done deal.

Unless Jerry can't help himsefl and won't stop blabbing about it so that some team leaps one spot ahead of us and takes him.
LOL.

You nailed it.

He's also had a ton of touches at Boise, so he will likely show signs of breaking down by year 3, but Jerry will sign him to a massive extension. He never learns.

A guess that Jerry will be signing him from the grave.

i just feel like you can find linemen all through the draft. They’ve proven it with Beebe, Bass and Hoffman. Even Asim Richards….
Show me pro bowls and ALL PROS from low round picks.

You can get serviceable starters and good backups but that is all
IF you want to compete for a SB you need better

This is a good class, but it really lacks those true blue chip prospects at the top. Dane Bruglar believes Cowboys sweet spot good in that 8 to 14 range. We know the names that are being projected as top 10 picks right now:

QB-Sanders, Ward (Could Milroe rise in the process?)
RB-Jeanty
WR-T-Mac/Burden, Hunter*
OL-Banks, Campbell
DT-Graham
Edge-Carter, Williams, Pierce
LB-Walker
CB-Hunter*, Johnson
S-Starks

That is 15
I think we wind up closer to 8. That could be Graham country. Another thing with Jeanty, are they going to want to pay a HB top 10 money. Or do they overcorrect like 2016. His 5th year option will be high

I think Im looking at it as the most Cowboy pick, Id guess Burden

Remember Stephen said you wanna a guy you picking in the top 15 for close to 10 years. This tells me the closer we are to 10, Jeanty won't be an option unless a trade-down.

They might want to avoid that again, but yet they saw immediate success and it actually did help their QB/defense out. A lot will depend on who they hire to replace MM.

I question every player in the top 15. Hunter seems to be special but he weighs 180lbs. Let see what his 40 is. McMillan toasted him when they went head to head in 2023. Jeanty is small and I am not sure about his breakaway speed. Banks and Campbell would be below Guyton if they were in the same draft. Graham is good but his ceiling seems below the star NFL tackles. The pass rushers except for Carter don’t have the production and Carter just played well this season after 3 years of mediocre play. Lots of questions about the top of the draft. The quarterbacks???? Would you honestly feel comfortable taking Sanders, Ward, Melrose, ect….. I would hate to be the Giants or Raiders right now.

Jeanty is probably the safest pick. I don’t think he makes it to us. Jeanty has questions but if he is a better version of Gibbs, I can’t see him making it out of the top 8.

I don’t need all pros and pro bowlers is what I’m saying. Good offensive lines don’t have a bunch of first rounders on them.

I have no issue with spending a late first rounder on them because at that point you miss out on premium talent so do whatever you have to do at that point. But using top 15 picks on guards or centers is a waste of resources.

Lions, Eagles, Chiefs and Falcons are widely considered to have the bath offensive lines in the league. Doing a quick research of those teams.....

Eagles have ONE 1st Round pick on their line that they used on a player and that's Lane Johnson 11 years ago. Mekhi Becton was a former first round pick but he was a bust and they signed him for cheap. He went from being a potential swing tackle and to a guard. Minimal resources.

Lions....Taylor Decker was a first round pick in 2016, Ragnow in 2018 and Sewell in 2021...they've spent a few resources on 1st rounders in the span of 8 years. Not sure this is a approach i'd take but at the time Sewell was a no brainer for a bad offensive line. They are stacked.

Chiefs don't have 1 first rounder on their offensive line.

We have been brainwashed by this front office into thinking we can only get good players in the 1st round. Not the case. Every draft has linemen everywhere. Yes, tackle is a position you probably should look at in the 1st round. But this team has already done it with Guyton and Tyler Smith and spent 90 million on Terrence Steele. WE have spent enough high value resources. Its time to bring in players now.

Because this front office cannot get them any other way
Have you not figured this out?

Huh? They have has no issues finding quality linemen…Collins, Leary, Collins, Conner, McGovern,Steele….what because Josh Ball stinks means only draft linemen on the first? Cowboys suck at finding defensive tackles so that means don’t draft one unless it’s in the first is some silly *** logic.

This class doesn't have those sure fire blue chip prospects. However, doesn't mean you cannot find players who can help improve your team. Nobody knows who is going to become our HC next season and what direction this franchise will take, I wrote a Zimmer post this morning on the fan zone and gone many upset, but they have to look at all the tea leaves pointing in that direction.

Agreed my point is I wouldn’t panic if we miss out on a top 10 pick. All these guys have warts even the big 4. Thr draft is so mediocre that a big bowl game or a fast 40 time will move Jeanty up.

Definitely feels like the big boards are going to be totally different in 3 months. The rankings from like 8-50 is almost dealers choice in terms of who/what a team is looking for. A lot of depth to the draft class but not a ton that stick out as head and shoulders above the rest

Each franchise has different view points about drafting the position in the 1st rd.
