Dane top 50 prospect

Dream picks but could happen based on measurables, position and combine:
- Downs or Bane
Likely Selection:
- Faulk or Bailey
The second first round pick get the LB:
-Styles or Allen
Of course this is all likely to change by April:

I just don't see it in Faulk. He has great size and athleticism, but most of the time, just runs right into the OL and looks like he's stuck to them with glue. Brugler loves kids who have the measurables. He's even got Faulk ahead of Bain, IMO Bain is a vastly better player. I wouldn't take Faulk in the 1st round. Maybe in the 2nd if they trade down with the GB pick. Broadas said this the other day and I agree completely, Faulk reminds me of the ATM kids from last year, physical specimens who aren't very productive.

Lots of intriguing 1 techs to pair with Qinnen Williams in Dane’s top 50.

Agreed. We have so many holes that it would irk me a bit if we just let Pickens walk creating yet another hole that they will be itching to fill with a high pick. Having no 3rd or 2nd round picks, we can't head into the draft with a bunch of high level needs and only two prime picks (although I could see us trading down to try to grab another 2nd or 3rd rounder).

I get it, that's a lot tied up in WRs, but I think you still have to do it (again assuming Pickens doesn't melt down here at some point, which I guess is possible).

Use those first three picks on the trenches/LB. I know we have invested a lot in the OL with high picks but Steele stinks so if there is a RT available early, I am on board with taking him (or a true LT and we can then shift Guyton over to the right side).
Pickens is not going anywhere.

I'm kind of torn on this.... I mean if I can get a guy like Blankship around 10 million, I was strongly consider that rather than investing the first first round pick on a safety
If you remember, Kyle Hamilton was being projected as the #1 prospect before the draft offseason started. He ran a slow 40 time and fell to the 14th spot. Downs will run faster, but I don't think he is going to test out as an elite athlete either. Early on my guess, Downs goes in that 8-12 range.

I could see the Cowboys falling in love with Kendric Faulk. They seem to always like long defensive linemen. Faulk fits that bill and he’s supposed to be excellent against the run.

He reminds me a lot of Jaelen Phillips when he came out, but a little less polished with his pass rush. Bruglar mentioned Auburn’s scheme doesn’t call for their DEs to just pin their ears back and chase the QB. I don’t know much about Auburn’s scheme to verify that though.

Depends on your aim and perspective

If im the GM my aim is to win a SB and my perspective is that Dak is not going to get me that, therefore if i have a top 10 pick in this QB rich draft, im evaluating the heck out of every QB and taking one that i Believe in

Dak can then decide if he wants to stay a year on the bench and be cut or waive his NTC

Jerry of course will never do this but that is the right play

Said like a true Jerry stan and Dak stan who loves mediocrity

Tag and trade Pickens
It's like these guys continue to ignore the things Jerry does. It's soooooo weird.

We just watched him muck up Parsons and trade him. Assuming Pickens will get signed (or tagged) at this point is just impressive homerism. There's a good chance Jerry screws this whole thing up.

How is getting 2 very good dtackles mucking it up? The best dtackle in decades is going to make his debut.

Interesting response ........... you've been screaming for Jerry to address the DT position with some real talent for years, at least 5/6 that I can recall. After signing Osa, trading for Clark and Quinnen Williams, DT is now our strongest defensive position....easily. I agree he screwed up the whole Parsons contract negotiation and trade but the funny thing is the unintended consequences may turn out better for the team long-term by luck (lol).

In the end, Cowboys basically got what they wanted in the Parsons deal. They wanted Williams from the Jets before they made the GB deal. My guess is Williams and a high 2nd. NY wasnt willing to give up assets. Value wise, thats pretty much what they Cowboys got

Oh I agree, just I was responding to the poster's criticism of Jerry and the trade, which is on point 80/90% of the time but this time, it's a bit odd. He's been critical of Jerry overlooking the DT position almost every offseason for as long as I can remember, but it is now our strongest position on the team, except WR, maybe coz of Micah trade. His response was a little odd but maybe I am misunderstanding what he meant.

As for myself, I will admit, I never wanted the trade ( build around his talent ) but IMO it's hard NOT to see the value. You can literally end up with 4-6 additional high-level players via trade, draft, draft trade-down, and free agency if you play your cards right.

Where is LBr Hill Jr?

Shocked he isnt getting more love unless there is off the field stuff I dont know about.

Jerry botched the Parsons situation. He just did. After mucking up negotiations (and make no mistake, Jerry wanted him back), he was basically forced to trade him and get something for him.

It's is downright bizarre that you guys struggle to criticize Jerry.
