Hold on a second. You know these guys don't play in a vacuum, right? When has Jones had any weapons? All while Dak is throwing to Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup. You realize that makes a difference, right? Tua didn't all of a sudden get better, he got Waddle and Hill. Not everyone is Mahomes or Rodgers.

We saw just how good Dak was to start the 2018 season when he had Daniel Jones WRs. So lets not pretend Dak is so much better than Jones. He's not. These QBs are not far apart. Only in stats and because of their support. Not because of them.
Dak didn't start with those guys. He started with the last couple of years of Dez (around 800 yds at that point) & TWill (around 600 yd) who were both fading in their skills along with (800 yds in 2016) Cole Beasley who was probably their best WR at that point.

Yeah, but that gives them a solid one year window. This year while he's at a reasonable cap hit. Because after this season, they'll have to decide what to do with his contract. They're not winning anything with him at a 45M cap hit.
That’s why it was a smart signing. No long term commitment yet they get so see if he can take another step. Jones has improved each year and fixed one of his biggest issues with fumbles. They get really two years and a reasonably cheap walk away. But you are right they really have to decide after this year but it’s a safe signing with no long term ramifications for them
He’s not a top 10 player but he has grown as a player and they get to see if he continues to improve

How do you determine that the QBs aren't close? Stats? Those are a product of support. Daniel Jones isn't throwing to Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup. So how are you coming up with this? Just based on stats? Dak sucked before we traded for Cooper. Absolutely sucked. Jones had a halfway decent season last year without targets. I don't think Dak would have done any better on the Giants. He has never shown to do anything without good targets.
Its obvious. Honestly. If I have to explain it, its not worth the conversation. Stats, eye test, success, you name it.

Let me know when Dak does that without targets. You guys act as if these guys are on an even playing field. They're not. Your support means a lot. How good your WRs are is everything to QBs not at the top tier.
Get the hell outta here. Jones has had talent. HE just sucks so none of them have gotten any recognition.

How good your WR's isnt everything. The fact that you think that shows your QB challenged.

But hey, I have no problem with you saying Jones is better than Dak. Thats your problem.

IT'S AMAZING HOW HE GOT BETTER around contract time
He was raw as rain out of Duke and they went and got a good offensive coach to develop him. --sorry jason.
He also faced a last place easy mode schedule.
I don't think he is worth this jack by any means but laying his teammates holding out of voluntary stuff to negotiate contracts is just goofball stuff the media should be above.

Dak > Jones

Dak has also had the privilege of being surronded by a Ferrari of a team compared to Jones. Jones has improved each year while dak is argurably on the downswing.

I honestly feel like Dak would be worse off on the Giants then Jones. He probably doesn't get them to the playoffs as Jones put in a TON of ground work to win games last year. Something Dak doesn't do anymore. He would of been a punching bag back behind that OL.

Now don't get me wrong saying Dak would be worse off then Jones if he was on the Giants. Situations matter but just watching them both play Dak is still the better quarterback overall.

His contract isn’t that bad. They can walk away after 2024 season for a reasonable amount of dead money
He’s the 7th highest paid, tied with stafford and his deal is brand new
If a team screwed up a QB deal there are much better examples, like Wilson or Watson
And Prescott

They allowed Jones and his agent to put them over a barrel because the team only had one franchise tag. Jones isn’t worth close to what they paid him.
Declining his 5th year option really came back to bite them in the ***.

One of the absolute worst decisions of the last year (especially since it would of only cost then 1 more million then what he's getting this year)

Well, there you go.....
Giants always chasing what the Cowboys do and its kinda funny when you think about it.

Dallas drafts Zeke with the 4th overall pick.

Giants follow by drafting Barkley 4th overall, nice counter punch Giants...lol

Dallas obviously remains steadfast with Dak as this franchise QB, despite his obvious flaws.

Giants follow by giving Daks clone the same deal... cant make this stuff

Yeah, I know. But Zeke was in top form. We had an aging Witten, TWill, Dez, and Beasley. Not a terrible crew considering Zeke was killing it.

Right. Your supporting cast doesn't matter. You're either a good QB or you're not. Even though it never works that way. Ever.

those are your words. I am a firm believer that supporting cast matters much. Especially for a QB.

That aside, Dak is a much much better QB. Sorry you struggle to see that.

And what is YOUR evidence exactly? That Jones had a lessor supporting cast? LOL

So does that mean Dak is better than Aikman? According to your thinking?

Dak’s contract is not as bad as some seem to believe
Wilson just had the worst season of his career and he’s making more than dak
Watson has a completely guaranteed contract
It's more a case of being lumbered with Prescott because of the way his contract has been restructured so in reality he can't be cut until the end of next season at the very earliest.

Nobody actually believes that. They just say it for spite. NO one is THAT dumb to think the horrid Jones is better than Dak. Giants will regret that one REAL fast if they havent already.
Why would they do that. The locker room don’t believe in him. Does the hc or gm not take the temperature or have no feel for what’s happening. He hit a few passes. Any qb that made it through college and got drafted can make a throw. I know egirls lost their way also. After this next year they will know also. Lmao. They signed these players thinking they struck what The Cowboys did with Dak. Wade Wilson (God rest his soul) was the only one that knew Dak could get it done. Or has the talent.

lol,,, Dak is marginally better than Quincy Carter or Chad Hutchinson.
Dak couldn't entertain a conversation with Aikman.
