Danny Amendola: How Many TDs Tonight?

Lighten up, Francis. You might find this resource instructive.

Here's an intro to whet your appetite-

There are few things in literature that can amuse, enlighten or anger a reader as much as satire. The ability to recognize literary satire may make the difference between whether a person laughs at a book like “Huckleberry Finn” or starts a campaign to have it banned from schools. That is why learning how to recognize literary satire is something that even non-English majors should learn how to do.

You should shut up too.

You don't even understand what satire is. its supposed to be something that portrays something you disapprove of in a funny (mostly sarcastic) light. thus the reference to Huck Finn which was oh so obviously a satire of southern life specifically slavery. that was the whole point of the character Jim.

But even had you been correct there is nothing to say that satire cannot be an instrument of hype.

Oh and how about the fumble by wonderboy.....

Actually I think Danny might want to learn how to hold onto the ball, while returning punts, before people worry about how many TD's he might have.

Game isn't over with yet, but so far: Amendola == Disappointment in this game.

I'd go with Brad Johnson myself - Amendola is going to have an uphill battle to even make the roster. BJ's performance followed by Bartel's makes me believe that outside of Romo, our QB stable is not favorable.

Did you say TDs or catches?

Austin is the only WR outside TO and Crayton that is worth a darn.

I truly believe Dallas might have one of the worst back-up QB situations.

Most any team is doomed if they lose their starter for a year.

However, some teams are at least equipped to make it a few quarters or a few games with their back up.

I think Dallas would be hard pressed to win a game with BJ or RB at the helm.

Miles Austin didn't seem to need the backup QB excuse tonight.
Did he only get 3 reps at WR and have his only throw to him at his feet?

Who's using excuses?

He was thrown the ball one time, and it was thrown behind him and at his feet. That's not an excuse, its a fact.

Yeah we should just ignore the fumble....

Because someone used Bartel as an excuse for that?

Are you drunk?

I didn't ignore the fumble, and neither has anyone else. I called him out on it just like everyone else. Go look at the game thread. He F'ed up.

This coming from a guy with a long history of getting plastered and posting is priceless.

No what youre doing is fixating on something and making excuses for it rather than addressing what was an inexcusable for a guy whose biggest issue is dealing with the physicality of the game. Press him or hit him and he has issues.

Danny Amendola was an undrafted free agent for a reason. He's also a rookie, to expect any kind of contribution from him this year is ridiculous. Austin, Hurd, and even Stanback are well ahead of him because of their experience.
I'd like to see him stick on the 53, but its no lock obviously.

Hopefully, this quiets some of the nonsense of him being our Welker this year and being a difference maker. Maybe in 2010, but certainly not this year and it looks like the coaching staff agrees judging by the number of snaps he received tonight.

Danny Amendola = GARBAGE, go back to Texas Tech or whatever second class school you came from you hype machine. You won't even get a sniff at the roster.

Can you read? Who tried to make an excuse for anything?
