Darian Thompson

Darian Thompson, 6'1": 4.69 40 time
George Iloka, 6'4": 4.66 40 time
Jeff Heath, 6'1": 4.48 40 time
Darren Woodson, 6'2": 4.38 40 time

Do you believe Thompson or Iloka have the speed to make this type of play? ^^^^

I don't.

Only Woodson and Heath had the speed to be able to catch Carr and make such a play. Why do we want slower Safeties???

I guess we need safeties that can make tackles

I believe he will be the odd man out.

Heath, Woods, Frazier, Iloka and a rookie for likely four-five spots

Dallas will be drafting a safety in round two or three......

Bingo.

I can tell you what positions they will draft in rounds 2, 3 and 4. It’s all the positions where they signed players to one year deals to keep the seat warm for rookies. So: safety, tight end and wide receiver, probably in that order.

I'd be happy if they come out of rounds two, three and four with a Safety, Defensive tackle and offensive tackle...

He's a JAG. A camp body.

But LOL at quoting 40 times to determine who is the better safety. Using that logic, we should've wanted Player A (4.38 40) over player B (4.56 40) at CB.

That would be Ronald Darby over Richard Sherman.

Yes. I can't see him beating out any of them, and I expect the safety we draft to either be a second- or third-rounder.

Where is the highlight of him completely blowing it against the rams !?

Are you talking about the last play where Heath totally lost Goff and allowed him to scramble around the right edge for a 1st down to seal the win?

So we cut Fleming?

No, Fleming isn't a long term answer, he'll be the swing tackle this year but we can no longer depend on Smith playing a full season with his back issues and with Collins entering his final year of his deal, Dallas needs another offensive tackle to develop....

You obviously didn't play football. Speed kills, Einstein.

B-I-n-g-o!!!!
Yes, Heath screwed up royally on that play. He was caught looking inside trying to be a hero thinking the RB was getting the handoff inside, when in reality his man, the QB, faked the handoff and scrambled around the edge unobstructed for a game killing 1st down. That was Heath's fault, but the whole Defense lost us that game all game long.

We usually don't carry 2 backup OT's. Unless you want the drafted OT on the practice squad.
