There’s about 40 players who won’t be available at 26.Wright is one of the hottest prospects in the draft. I don’t think he’s remotely available when we get on the clock.

This is my first choice as our #1 pick. I think its nice sneaky pick the Cowboys would do and convert him to guard.Per Aaron Wilson.
HOUSTON – University of Tennessee All-Southeastern Conference offensive Darnell Wright, one of the top draft prospects, has nearly 20 visits.
The projected first-round draft pick visited the Buffalo Bills today and the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers this week and, among his other visits, is set to meet with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions, according to league sources.
What round is Mauch rated?Mauch reminds me of a hockey guy. A big thuggish mauler that we need. Missing teeth and all.
More of a catcher than a puncher? Thats not your kinda guy? This is the guy you think is a home run.
- Gets very little bend in his two-point stance.
- More bear-hugger than technician at point of attack.
- Below average hand resets and finish as run blocker.
- Might need a shallow pocket to hold up in pass pro.
- More of a catcher than puncher.
- Shows confusion against twist.
it depends whom u believe. Some draft guru's have him as high as late rd 1. Then early 2nd and 3rd. He wont last til the 4th. I highly doubt he makes it to 58 actually. If he does and we haven't grabbed a olineman, I think we might take him there. What round is Mauch rated?
lmao....More of a catcher than a puncher? Thats not your kinda guy?
While it’s still one of the better sources to see all the players with testing and evaluation in 1 spot, some of those nfl .com write ups are puzzling at best. You’ll see something like “lacks deep speed” and then you look up and the guy ran a 4.4 at the combine. Which is why it’s important when formulating opinions to look at as many sources as possible before watching for yourself and coming to a conclusionThe NFL.com draft evaluations for Seniors is done their Junior year in case they declare.
- Only minimal, if any updates are made to most of the write-ups after their Senior season.
One the the well known draft analyst just came out with a mock or big board that had Wright as the top OL in this draft.
From Brugler:
A large-framed blocker with a thick torso and functional mass … raw power courses through his body … competes with a patient, yet physical mindset
and unleashes controlled violence when he sees the opportunity … strikes with a stiff, full-extension punch to knock rushers off balance … able to knock down the
reach of rushers and flashes the grip strength to snatch … has enough quickness to shut down the corner … rarely bullied … reworks his balance for quick recoveries
after a misstep … keeps his feet and hips on the same page in the run game … his heavy hands allow him to displace defenders … made an impressive jump in
performance between his junior and senior seasons, decreasing his penalties from 10 in 2021 to only two in 2022 (one false start, one holding) … has starting
experience inside at guard and at both left and right tackle … finished his college career with 34 straight starts.
Second round seems right. What round is Mauch rated?
I see what you did there. When does the comedy album come out?More of a catcher than a puncher? Thats not your kinda guy?

He was clearly the best OL in the Senior Bowl drills (American Team).Yeah, Wright’s draft stock has skyrocketed. From his junior to his senior seasons he made massive improvements.
He is likely the strongest OL in this draft and he will almost assuredly go in the top 15.
If he did happen to fall to Dallas, he would probably be the pick.
And it isn’t just Kiper… a lot of insiders are hearing how much teams are loving Wright.
Are they?and Broderick, Smitz. Mauch All 3 day 1 starters.
He can play both but if you’re counting Tyron as player that will play more than 10 games I’d be shockedCowboys have tackles…..left guard seems to be an issue.
yesAre they?
Broderick Jones is the best OL physically but his technique/fundamentals are terrible.
Mauch is the opposite. Great developed skill but very limited physically. He'll need to move to OG due to very short arms but he lacks bulk/power.
Schmitz probably a day 1 starter at OC due to excellent fundamentals. He needs to get stronger to play OG.
The Tony Pollard evaluation is comical. While it’s still one of the better sources to see all the players with testing and evaluation in 1 spot, some of those nfl .com write ups are puzzling at best.
