Larry Allen played LT for a season and was 1st team ALL Pro. They still moved to OG.

If the option is Wright or an OG-only type at #26, then take Wrighr and play him where needed.
Clearly Wright would be the best option over the other two guards and it would give the team options moving forward if they are unable to retain Steele. They have a history of moving college tackles inside. Don't think he makes it to our pick, but would be the best lineman available if he did.

Wright is a stud RT. If we draft him and move him inside to G for more than 1 year that would be incredibly stupid.

Play him at OT and save the 12-15 million you would’ve had to pay Steele.
Entirely possible (if not likely), this will be both Tyron’s and Steele’s last year on the roster. It makes a ton of sense to draft a guy to plug the LG hole year 1 that can then slide to RT of the future

Wright would be a home run pick at 26.
This is the guy you think is a home run.

  • Gets very little bend in his two-point stance.
  • More bear-hugger than technician at point of attack.
  • Below average hand resets and finish as run blocker.
  • Might need a shallow pocket to hold up in pass pro.
  • More of a catcher than puncher.
  • Shows confusion against twist.

The cowboys may be lucky enough to have this player available at pick 26, and I think it may be worth it to move up a few spots for him, but most teams that select tes than Dallas, have needs at WR, CB and QB, so as contemplated they may be selected ahead of the cowboys.
4 QB
7 DL
4 CB
1 S
3 WR
3 OL (Skoronski, Broderick Jones, Paris Johnson Jr)
so there is a high possibility that Darnell will be available at pick 26 or even another OL, and I think if Wright is available, it would be the best decision the Cowboys could make,

The NFL.com draft evaluations for Seniors is done their Junior year in case they declare.
- Only minimal, if any updates are made to most of the write-ups after their Senior season.

One the the well known draft analyst just came out with a mock or big board that had Wright as the top OL in this draft.

From Brugler:
A large-framed blocker with a thick torso and functional mass … raw power courses through his body … competes with a patient, yet physical mindset
and unleashes controlled violence when he sees the opportunity … strikes with a stiff, full-extension punch to knock rushers off balance … able to knock down the
reach of rushers and flashes the grip strength to snatch … has enough quickness to shut down the corner … rarely bullied … reworks his balance for quick recoveries
after a misstep … keeps his feet and hips on the same page in the run game … his heavy hands allow him to displace defenders … made an impressive jump in
performance between his junior and senior seasons, decreasing his penalties from 10 in 2021 to only two in 2022 (one false start, one holding) … has starting
experience inside at guard and at both left and right tackle … finished his college career with 34 straight starts.

Yeah, Wright’s draft stock has skyrocketed. From his junior to his senior seasons he made massive improvements.

He is likely the strongest OL in this draft and he will almost assuredly go in the top 15.

If he did happen to fall to Dallas, he would probably be the pick.

And it isn’t just Kiper… a lot of insiders are hearing how much teams are loving Wright.

Wright/Broderick Jones are the only Offensive Lineman outside the early elite options that are worth of a 1st rd pick.

There are not many PLUG AND PLAY lineman in this draft. Avila, O’Cypress and Wright are ready to start at Day 1
