Bland suffered a chest injury and didn't play in the second half.

Pile that on to yesterday's massacre at the hands of a rookie quarterback in his first game start.

Any word on his status for next week?
His status is the same as the rest of the team: First round exit.

You expect NFL players to never miss a game? Answer honestly.
With all these games I surely expect it, but if you're showing a pattern of always being injured hmmm I'm not sure how to go about that.

Yeah Tony Pollard and that one game you mentioned is showing a pattern. Right. Just admit you’re dramatic already. Own it.

You admitted you’re not sure how to go about it. Reality is too much for you.

We’re a beat up team and there’s a big bull’s-eye on the corner opposite Trevon Diggs. I’m sure Tom Brady is licking his chops. I still can’t get over the big smile on Howell’s face after his first NFL pass went for a TD yesterday.
Only players out this week will be Steel, Lewis, and AB. Everyone else is back.

They’re assuming everyone will be back, but a setback could pop up during the week.

I had suggested during his huge season last year that maybe we should trade him for two picks while his stock was high. That’s looking like the right call.

No it isn't.

We just had a 12-5 regular season, in large part because Diggs was on our team.

Had you traded him away, he could not have done that. So it's not looking like the right move. It looks like your ego is telling you that.

I wouldn’t worry about our pass defense all that much; Tampa Bay ran the ball all over us during the regular season and I would expect to see the same thing until Dallas proves they can stop it…

Sure, and Brady could get a herniated hemorrhoid that makes him bleed so much he has to wear a maxi pad in the game.

We’re talking about a couple of injured players that haven’t played in a few weeks. Brady could light us up immediately after hemorrhoid surgery. We had a one legged Aaron Rodgers beat us in the playoffs a few years ago, and an Aaron Rodgers with a busted thumb beat us this season. You could pull a fan out of the stands, and they could probably complete a pass against our defense.

This place is insane. It goes from one whooping boy to the next. It never stops and sometimes comes back to the same play.
This TEAM played like trash in game that it turned out to not matter. Save the momentum takes, I get the idea.
So, if the TEAM is playing awful, why is it so hard to discuss it without pissing & moaning?
As far as Diggs goes, pump the brakes already. Does anyone consider losing the # 2 and 3 starting corners may have an effect? They simply make the secondary better. OF COURSE Diggs is going to be the focus. But I'm siding with the voting Players & Coaches on this one. This forum is too emotional.
Once Bland comes back we'll be better.

I wanted Hurts over Diggs. We could be riding that rookie contract.

Invisible because teams don't dare to throw at him. Of all the things to be negative about, Diggs' play is at the bottom of the list.
Diggs stats 2021 vs 2022:

2021: 103 targets 54 completions 52.4% comp % 907 yards 16.8 ypc 4 td's

2022: 85 targets 55 completions 64.7% comp % 673 yards 12.2 ypc 3 td's

He showed up in 2021 with 11 int's and had only 3 int's in 2022.....and when you look at the above stats one could argue he is playing back more to protect the deep ball as the YPC is significantly down but the Comp % is significantly up......adding to this theory is the fact Dallas gave up 4,049 passing yards in 2021 compared to 3,415 passing yards in 2022....a difference of 634 passing yards....as for the rushing defense they only gave up 290 yards more in 2022 than in 2021.....so basically, Dallas has been playing their secondary further off the ball to prevent the deep ball.

Apparently the Cowboys were really high on Hurts and loved him in the 2nd as a backup to Dak, but couldn't pass on Diggs as a potential starting CB.

Interesting but given they weren't even thinking about moving on from Prescott at that point then it would have wasted 2-3 years of Hurts on a rookie contract. Prescott should have already been under a longer term contract by that point without the no trade clause and traded for some draft picks before drafting Hurts. That's what a successfully run business would have done in their long term best interests.

Never been a fan of the way Diggs plays cornerback. It isn't sustainable and their style eventually gets burned time and time again. Give me a Darrelle Revis type cornerback over him any day.

Every team has lost key players, but good teams haven't let it turn them into garbage for the past month.
