We can do better. He'd be a 4th WR here at best, would stunt the growth of Stanback, Hurd, and Miles, and I'd rather get a true #2 guy.

If we were going to pick up a FA WR, I think we would've already done it. Jackson couldn't even make a difference with the whiners, so I don't see him coming here. But, stranger things have happened.

The 49ers are WR starved and he couldn't even avoid being cut? Tells me everything I need to know.

I'd stay away from him. It was odd that the Seahawks traded him to the Niners because he was pretty good in 2006 and they are divisional rivals and everybody thought the Niners fleeced the Seahawks. Now the Niners released him after only one year, showing that the Seahawks knew something about him that nobody else did and the Niners wound up finding this out as well.

Yeah, as much as anything else. Decent deep threat. But he is perpetually injured. They drafted some young WRs and added Bruce. Makes sense to move on..
