Darren MacFadden

Dude, you called it bigtime. Toot that horn all day as far as I'm concerned. You deserve it.

Yea big time call there .....

Between him picking that to happen and Hostile picking Spencer as our pick after a trade down ..... I feel pretty stupid

I thought we were gonna trade up or pick the best WR available.

:lmao2: at myself.

;)

Not to take anything from a great collegiate running back in Macfadden. I am curious as to the thoughts of Steve Slaton from West Virginia?

I could love him too. McFadden though can pass the ball as well as catch and run. No joke, he's just amazing. My favorite RB since Tomlinson.

That comment is funny. He is every bit as important to Arkansas as Tomlinson was to TCU, but it's just astounding at how different they are physically and stylistically.

I wasn't comparing their styles. I was comparing my appreciation for what they do.

Oh, I knew what you meant. I just think it is funny that two RBs can be so great and so impacting to their teams, yet be so different in play.

So much for the perfect 'form' of a RB, no?

McFadden is good, but there is a bit of a character issue with him.

He was in a bar fight and broke his foot....which really hindered him at the beginning of the season. He missed most of the game vs USC.

Very well stated.

I didn't get to see too many of the Arkansas phenom's games so I'm at a disadvantage. I absolutely loved the speed that I saw from Slaton though. But you are right Hos, I have seen Mcfadden do it all in the couple of games that I did see. Slaton doesn't have the power that Mcfadden has, but they did line up Slaton every where on the field as well.

Steve Slaton

catches-27 yards-360 avg-13.3 long-67(TD) tds-2 -receiving stats

carries-248 yards-1744 avg-7.0 long-65(TD) tds-16

Oh, no doubt about it, this kid is explosion. He is like Reggie Bush in that no matter where you line him up, he has the advantage. If we got him, I wouldn't complain one bit.

Though BP might be hard to put up with. He's got that love bad.

Depending of course on how next season unfolds... Slaton may be the back who's available at CLE's pick... We could have to move up for McFadden
