I watched the game, then a looked over a review of the plays with in depth photots and analysis of the game tape, the blocking up front, and where the holes were on all of his runs.

Did you not read it?.

Yes I've read it as well as the other breakdowns as well as re-watching the game twice. I know there were some missed opportunities, but it was the guy's first game. He hardly played in pre-season. Only a total of 9 carries or so I believe. There's no cohesion there. It's not like Randle was perfect either. Couldn't stay up right on his feet and couldn't make anyone miss one on one.

Whitehead's and Dunbar's skill sets and roles are very similar, almost superfluous. Whitehead is the better ST, Dunbar is the better rusher, blocker, receiver. Dunbar can do anything Whitehead can do in the offense, except better.

Yes, I said in the offseason that Dunbar would likely be Beasley's backup as the slot WR and might be primarily a WR if they kept 4 RBs.

Lucky does return punts which does not appear to be an option for Dunbar; although I think he did try it in practice at TC.

Agree, I think both Randle and DMC are going to be that kind of RB - a bunch of 3 yard carries with a 20 yarder mixed in here and there. That is what DeMarco was for the first couple of years, plus he had the same criticism of missing games with injuries.

Michael is the wildcard and it will be interesting to watch, it would be a huge help if he can handle his blocking assignments and be the kind of power back they need.

Wild Thing

Great analysis, although I could have told you McFadden lacks the vision and patience to be a featured back and saved you a lot of time

I can't believe that some of you guys actually thought we were picking up a 1200 yard back.....LOL

Agreed on both points.

Very nice. Thanks again.

I see what you are saying in most cases
I agree on some, not on others.

To be honest, I see what DMC saw and why he ran in the direction he did.

Until proven otherwise, imam going to chalk up his indecisiveness to not having these looks before.
He my need to adjust.
I highly doubt that he will ALWAYS hesitate or NOT go to better hole sooner, faster.

I do agree that you do draw a somewhat biased conclusion at the end of each case.

All in all.... I like it. Let's hope for better runs so we get better reviews from you.... Keep 'em coming.

So, what you saying is DMC played in Oakland so long he either forgot what a hole looked like, or, when he sees it, he is afraid it is a trap and doesn't trust it to really be there.

I accept that.

People will rationlize away mistakes and revise history to see what they want to see. What they want to happen.

I really want DMC/Randle to step up..............................:)

Crissy from Seattle? Can he do it? ...................tashard choice?

Somebody..................................... I really like that 12-4 season last year;

I accept that.

McFadden had 7 touches (6 runs, 1 pass). Of those 7 he had 3 first downs, a 19 yard play, an 8 yard play and one run that had no chance due to perfect blitz. He had 1 or 2 plays that might have been better if he made a quicker decision.

Forgot?
No.

I just think he needs to adjust.
