I keep hoping to be on that show but when I show up only the teenage girl is there. no reporter, no cameras I can't catch a break. :laugh2:

Not all. My wife is very shy and very quiet. She will talk to me all day long. She will talk to her Mom all day long. But if she's in a room with me and her Mom, any conversation will be between her Mom and me.

People come in all varieties and temperments. Hers just happens to be quiet and laid back. Mine is in your face and loud. Opposites attract. She is good for me because I treat people better and am not so pushy. I am good for her because she will stand up for herself.

I can't imagine people not wanting to compromise in order to make their relationships work. It's just absolutely a foreign concept to me. My wife could be my slave if I wanted that. She is that passive and I am that domineering. Why anyone would want that is beyond me. No one is allowed to be disrespectful to my wife in my pressence. I will come unglued. But that rule has to include me or the message is I'm a hypocrite. I still open the doors for my wife like I did when I wanted her to fall in love with me.

I've been happily married for 16 and half years. My wife and I have not had a fight. We've disagreed, but we've not fought. If you want a marriage to work it requires effort. No way will I sit here and say it is easy. I will always tell you it is worth it.

Yes, but what we don't know is that women do the same thing. A few years ago at my school, a female teacher did the same thing...yet we refuse to recognize it. It MUST be a man who does it.

They deserve to get put on Dateline, but that show just makes it seem as if only men did wrong things. When I was younger and I saw that show, I was convinced that the only criminals were men.

Agree 100%, and funnily, I almost put that in my post, but figured that was a topic for another day.

A buddy's wife is a zealot on this mater, so whenever I go over to their 6 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath "compound", I make it a point to go through EVERY head and leave the "porcelain doughnut" at FULL MAST!!

I know women do it too, and I heard the story of the teacher sleeping w/ her 12 year old student, and fathering his kid, but the fact is, more men solicit young kids on the 'net than women

I believe the 1st show aired in '03, but you're right, it hasn't been on the air that long

It is educational when it is the older woman and the 12 or 14 year old boy. :laugh2: Problem is boys like to brag to friends afterwards. I could think of a few teachers that I had and would not call that abuse. :laugh2:

Yeah, I guess it's not so much that one show, but just the mindset that we've gotten.

Women are stereotyped as being high-maintenance, which isn't always true.

Men are stereotyped as being complete pigs, which also isn't always true.
