Campo as a DC was excellent...

That what I was thinking. And even during the Campo years, some of those guys may not have been as talented but they played with a lot of heart. It was a team being rebuilt by one of the worst GMs in the league.

You could have had Landry, Dick LeBeau DC and Kyle Shanahan OC with that squad and they would have been struggling for 5-11. Do you not remember the CAP hell years? Those rosters were nothing but broken down has been's and practice squad castoffs

I remember all of that, the Galloway trade, restructuring contracts into cap hell, losing picks, the whole thing. That still doesn't let Campo off the hook. If you come in and tell the organization that you can bring change, then that is your word.

Like I said before, his teams fought hard. 5-11 with those squads was an accomplishment, not a failure.
