David Buehler won't face competition for Cowboys kicker job

You guys act like Vinatieri in his prime is sitting there waiting for an NFL contract. I don't know where you guys see this magical help at K and LT.

Teams bring in kickers later in the season pretty much every year. Colts kicker faced an injury so what did they do? They went outside and brought in a kicker. Dallas could bring in a kicker right now to compete but what they want to do is give Buehler the reps not have him share reps.

Thats not entirely true. He's competing against a veteran kicker that isnt on this roster (and wont be, if Buehler shows he can do the job during TC & Preseason)

They dont need to bring a vet in to "compete" now, because Buehler needs all the opportunities he can get.
Any qualified veteran off the street can be brought in should he struggle.

Having some aged kicker here taking time away from Buehler is simply not smart. If the intent is to have him win the job, then he should get every chance to do so. Competing with Hughes is bad enough. Let him give it a shot. If he struggles in preseason, then make a move. There will be plenty of veteran kickers out there then.

I'm with 'Doomsday'...this staff coddles these guys....bring in 3 guys to compete with Buehler....see what he's made of.

Actually Vinatieri himself might lose his job. Stover was mentioned. Shayne Graham is still available. There will be a loser in competitions in Houston, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Tampa Bay, San Diego and San Francisco. There will be options available. But please, continue to fret.

If Buehler doesn't work out I'd rather bring him in than Stover.

Stover went where?
I thought I heard that he had retired earlier in the year. I know that he was with Indianapolis last year.
