Sure. Is it also coincidence that all the head refs are Italian? Maybe there is a mafia connection.

Blandino - Italian
Corrente - Italian
Seratore - Italian
Hochuli - Italian

All of these refs were involved in this year's playoff games.

It does feel like a mafia connection.

Hey aren't you Don Corleone? Do something about it.

I think they get crushed by 3 TDS....Atlanta is gonna steam roll them. Birds are reminding me of that 97 Denver Broncos team w/ Terrell Davis. They are just getting that Shanahan look....Plus GBs dbs can't matchup w/ Julio. It's a total mismatch. Only chance GB has is if they get into a track meet...and they happen to get the last possesion in a close game.

Called it...

No one is saying that we didn't commit penalties too- the point is the officiating wasn't fair- or even. If your gonna call penalties, call them on both sides. Don't swallow your whistle when the game is on the line- which is obviously what happened on this play and many others since only 2 penalties were called on Green Bay the entire game,...

According to the ESPN Boxscore, there were 3 called on GB and 6 on us. So let's not act like they called a dozen on us and 2 on the Pack.

That was a poorly officiated game. But I don't believe there was some conspiracy that the league is out to get us.

If it was one slightly botched call that was due to human error, then yea, that would be a sore sport. On the other hand, when you have a series of sweetheart calls that are controlling the game to highly benefit one team, then no, that isn't being a 'sore sport'. It's being a pathetic weakling if you let yourself get screwed over like that. That phantom Brice Butler penalty was a 15 yarder. The refs threw another flag right after we made a play, but they couldn't find anything to call on us so they picked it up. They rush over to get Aaron Rodgers the ball so he can snap the ball while we're substituting and penalize us. Afterwards the refs chat with Rodgers and smile it up.

Exactly. Very very buddy buddy! Too buddy for comfort. It was embarrassing for the league.

I don't understand why our own fans want to pretend that the calls against Dallas didn't happen or had no affect on the game. That is clearly absurd.

It's not being a sore loser to complain about stuff that actually happened if it is accurate. Some people here amaze me. I think they would expect us to overcome it if the officials threw a ******** flag against us on every down.

The penalty on Butler came at a time when the Cowboys were getting the momentum and torching Green Bay. Suddenly they pull out a 1984 phantom penalty on us and it goes from a chip shot field goal to outside field goal range.

That call was premeditated. The ref knew he was going to pull out that rule on us at some point. He waited for an opportune time to call it to break our momentum. AND he waited until the play was over to see what the result of the play was before he threw the flag.

I'm not sure what game you guys were watching but if you think there was anything at all fair to Dallas in this game in the officiating category, I am sure you guys still believe in Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy as well.

David Irving is going to go off next year. I don't even know why I think this. But I hope that he, now, realizes the work it takes to be great. And I think he can be great. Rushing from the interior and outside. 10-12 sacks great, if his motor keeps going.

I get this anger but let's also be fair here and admit we got away with some stuff in that game too. There were two CLEAR holds on Packers WRs that went uncalled. One was a blatant hold.

I tend to think it's not that the league is out to get us. I think it's that officiating has just gotten crappier over the years and teams that have noteworthy players like a Brady or Rodgers tend to get some benefit of the doubt.

Also, I think Garrett hurts us here too. He's too soft on the sidelines. Someone posted a study a week or so ago that shows some correlation between getting calls and being a real %$# on the sideline towards officials.

and they held on Witten, one of our defensive holds had no bearing as they scored anyway
