Just a dumb post

Irving left football so he could smoke weed and come out with his own line of product. Then the NFL legalized it and he announced his return. It's not a dumb post, it's a spot on post.

Recall reading a tweet from a GM that said........unless a player is involved in some serious law-breaking, the NFL never give up on talent.

But "multiple teams interested" is probably agent talk ...lol

Hawk if this guy had his head on straight and could still play I would give him a shot maybe lol
At the start of this season if you would have said we would be looking to improve this Defense I would have laughed at you. In Name the talent is there.
The other thing I dont understand is why did we sign these guys if they were 4-3 guys knowing your going to try to implement a 3-4?

Safe to say he's could be as good as he wanna be........

Unlike Randy Gregory, Irving is not under contract with the Dallas Cowboys. If and when he's reinstated, he's free to sign with whomever he pleases. ... In his last 13-games played, Irving collected 11 sacks and 13 tackles for loss.Mar 20, 202

Irving is half of what we need, too. Pass rushing DT.

Could use a S as well.

The issue with David was never about talent.........but what's between his ears and his heart. You got/get the impression he sees football as a source of wealth/big-money, otherwise, he could care less about the game itself. But, I would STILL probably take a chance with him......too much talent to overlook.
I would say that most of the players look at the game this way.

If was to come back to Dallas in decent shape he could help this defense immediately. Always liked the player. A poor mans Calais Campbell.

I’m all in.

I doubt irving will come back here, jones boys are not looking to pay more than minimum, and really cant afford him .
I imagine he might get more money elsewhere.
He may want to play for some other team, but I am thinking he wants more money than jones boys can or would pay.
So might as well forget about him.

Now rolando is someone they should bring in for a workout, and see what he can do, as he would be cheap.
He is off the purple, and got his hip fixed, and wants to impress his boys who are older now.
my thinking there is jones boys are holding a grudge with him so wont even consider that.

Rolling out of bed, he’s better than Thief Lawrence. Absolutely dominant when he’s right.

He may have burned his bridges in Dallas, but I sure wish he would come back. He and Aldon would be insane to watch.

This times forever. Another guy tried to sell me on the infamous I'm paid now I'm coasting Lawrence.
I guess since Lawrence met his version of non second round bust based on his first contract's contribution then that let him off the hook for being a bust.
I still put him under the category of bust.

The majority of players nowadays seem to have become second contract coasters.
Truly disappointing for me.

But as someone else posted, Irving is a big risk/reward guy. So is Earl.

The defense needs something.
That's all I'm saying.

Go Cowboys

Literally my favorite Cowboys DL post D Ware era.

You need at least one guy that is clinically insane on your defensive line. David Irving was that guy for us. When he hit QBs, you could see the blood lust in his eyes.
no they were bloodSHOT , corrected..

nah i dont think we need another pass rush specialist I mean id be opened to it but maybe another fatty lie Snacks would help ..we have Griffen, Smith, Tank, and with Gregory coming back..along with rookies tom add depth to line..

best to ignore the Dl the rest of the way and Maybe S/DB might be more appropriate attention for FA . seriously..the Dl is much improved from game 1, we need DB help..maybe a LB?

Who would you rather have rushing the passer from the tackle spot, Crawford or Irving? If he gets reinstated and I were Jerry, I would call him and talk to him. I would see if he wants to play in Dallas, if he really wants to play football and if he is willing to focus on playing football. Irving is not a dumb guy or a bad guy. He just like to smoke a doobie from time to time. If he wants to play, I would see if I could work out a deal. The one problem is he is living in CA now where pot is legal. I bet he wants to play for the Chargers or the Rams or in a state where pot is legal. If that is the case then clearly football is not his priority.

Last I heard he wanted to rejoin the NFL last year. In December 2017, he finally graduated from Alabama.

He was a physical specimen. Too bad he had "issues."

This, best LB on the team his first 2 years with us, H--- the best player on the D side period.
