David Irving status

His status is that he is out of shape, in rehab, has a crazy ex, is not in camp, and can’t play until week 5 at the earliest. If he hadn’t looked dominant at times, he would already be gone for good and maybe out of the league.
Yer more than likely correct in that assessment C-22,,,,:(

The 4 game suspension wouldn't make lose a year of service time.... you only need 6 games to get a year.... it all has to do with not reporting while under contract

Aaron Donald lost a year last year and will lose another year this year since he held out until Sept both years.... he will only have 3 years of service time after this year and will be a RFA .... he has no leverage but his play

How did Aaron Donald lose a year if he played in 14 games. I think you are mistaken here

Its great for team morale to have a guy like him who will ultimately be rewarded with playing time ahead of the guys busting the butts in camp right now. Should be a real cohesive group upon his return.

No, he held out and missed the 30 day deadline even though he played all year

He is on the 5th year option of his rookie deal but he would still be a RFA next year if they don't get a deal done... the contract didn't toll but he lost a year's service time.... he is stuck on 3

It is one of the reasons LA is not moving ..... the have all the cards

If he misses the Monday deadline they get ANOTHER year on RFA before UFA and the Franchise Tag

I think Irving, Terrance Williams, Chaz Green, and Rico Gaithers are done here.

If he is on the NFL Reserve/Did not Report List then he is in danger of losing a year towards UFA if he doesn't report by Monday. He would be a RFA again for 2019 if he doesn't get to camp 30 days before the first game.

If he is on the NFI-Non football injury, then it doesn't apply..... not sure about the Suspended List.... but officially his Suspension doesn't start until Game 1..... he may be a lost cause any way we look at it

Any clarification would be appreciated

Status would be dumb and drunk most likely.

Terrible decision making in a year where he could earn a big contract from a team in next year's free agency. Regardless of how he does, he's probably looking at another 1 year deal. I look forward to a productive 8 games this year from Mr. Irving!

irving is now a distraction. for a team ridding itself of distractions, surprised he's still here. the guy just comes with a boat load of troubles.

It did just hit me that every team would probably offer a 1st for the right to sign ADonald

That would make him a de facto UFA

Once again we will get a 10-15 million dollar a year player for about 3. I would sign him to a 3 year deal if it was cheap and his guaranteed money was protected with provisions of him keeping his nose clean. He gets in trouble and the guaranteed is null and void.
What makes you think when, IF, he comes back he will be a 10-15 million dollar a year player. He has always been inconsistent. I was a big fan of his even though he has been inconsistent, but I’m starting to tire of his act.

ok, did not know about that. he really needs to show up this year prior to Aug 7th, so he at least is eligible for UFA as opposed to being an RFA. He'll get tagged, but then he can hold out much longer.

You and me both. He is repeating the same mistakes. Getting old quick. He seemed more consistent last season so I am thinking he has gotten good enough to be considered one of the top players. Not 17 million a year worth but maybe in the 10 range. But he won’t get it now.
