Ever since I saw him blocking LBers in the Senior Bowl I knew he was the type of player that Garrett loves. He just ran a 4.5 flat this guy is a perfect fit in every way for the Cowboys.

I thought 3rd round even 4th before. Not sure now he might still be in the 3rd.

Just listened to Cowboy Draft show. Where he'll go depends on his 40. If he runs 4.6 then we may get lucky and pick him up in the 4th. But if he runs 4.5 then we be lucky to pick him up in the 3rd.

I love to team him up with Murray and have him play 3rd down. He's an accomplished receiver with good hands and runs good route not to mention a wiling blocker. He can do some damage in space.

Nebraska's Ameer Abdullah turned in a 4.60 today.
Really will hurt his draft status. Already not a big back now slow 40. Dropped at least a round.

David Johnson was a top performer in the 40, bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, and 3 cone drill. He's fast, blocks well, catches well. I hope we consider him with our 2nd rd pick if Murray doesn't resign. Before today, I thought we could get him with our 3rd rounder, but I highly doubt he gets past the 2nd round now.

DE in 1st, RB in 2nd, DT in 3rd, LB in 4th, CB in 5th, OT and S in 7th

Can really see his speed in these highlights. And oh yeah, he returns kicks and punts, too.

His athleticism and pass catching ability make him an interesting prospect for sure. I am all for us taking a RB later in the draft unless Melvin falls to us in the first.
If a Abdullah falls I would be psyched if we can steal him. Abdullah has game speed and a great low center of gravity.
I don't care about the 40 yard dash, its a lazy way to evaluate backs and does not translate well to game speed. Alfred Morris? Leveon Bell? Emmitt Smith? Too many examples to name.
I like langford. Hes a tough back who proved he can shoulder the load but obviously there are so many talented backs in this class we have to evaluate who falls to the 3rd or 4th.

Gurley's knee scares me. I don't want to use a first on an injured player. Especially with MGIII or a talented 3rd or 4th round back potentially available. An NFL RB's career is short enough as is.

agree big time. I watched him play about 15 games over the last 3 years. (including two in person) He is strictly a 3rd down back in the NFL. He has no ability to break tackles and has very average speed. GOOD kid, and a good guy but not an every down back by any means. He's a Darren Sproles type with isn't a bad thing.

From the buzz I'm hearing it's a 2nd round pick at this point if we want him. I'm on board. Twitter feed shows:
