Do any of you guys know anything about David Mimms , the OT from Virginia Union ? He is huge , and I read one article that said he had better feet than Phillip Loadholt and was about the same size. The same article said he is a small school sleeper. I don`t have a clue about this guy , but I thought some of you draftniks might.

Probably 7th round pick/UDFA. He has potential. Probably won't get much buzz due to playing in Division II. Most likely RT in NFL. I'd give him a shot.

... still think one of the BIGGEST potential risers in the draft this season will be OT David Mimms...he ... will miss Golden Ticket of Bradford/Stafford-type pay in NFL Draft ...

Note, Herbert Scott, a very good OG for the cowboys in 70s, was drafted from virinia union too
Herbert Carnell Scott (born January 18, 1953 in Virginia Beach, Virginia) is a former American football offensive lineman in the National Football League. He attended Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, and went on to star at the Virginia Union University where he was All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association three times.

Clemson's Chris Hairston is almost as big (6'7 335) but much much better. Not to mention is more athletic (5.18 40) and succeeded against better competition (ACC).

Herb Scott was always one of my favorites when I was a kid. I had forgot about him going to Virginia Union.
