Davis will play... Guard or Tackle?

I don't see Jerry Jones signing Colombo now with Davis reportedly on board. They'll either draft a guard in the 2nd round or go with Cory Proctor....

we may not know where Davis is going to play this yr until we go to camp and sort it out...we could do nothing else...we might sign another free agent and/or draft a player or two...

they'll probably juggle them around in TC to get the best 5 OL on the field

I am kind of hoping tackle.

Otherwise, it means the organization is going away from the type of guards that they have been targeting/obtaining for the last couple of years.

Find an offensive line philosophy and stick with it. You'll never have a good line if you keep changing your mind on what you want to do.

I dont see why Jerry would not sign Colombo. They are going to cut Rivera that will free up more money, and if Dallas signs a guy from the draft I would assume it would be a early pick which he has to pay anyway. I feel that he signed Davis because he wants to win now so if that is the case then I dont see him gambling on a rookie to start on the line this year. I do expect Jerry and co. to take some lineman early this year but I would bet he resigns Columbo with the anticipation on Flozell not begin resign next year. I would guess that after this year Jerry is not going to be looking to sign Olineman via the draft for couple of years.

See I 'm hoping guard, because if he has the feet to be and average tackle then he should have to feet to be a very good guard. He should be able to pull and get to the second level without being pushed back into the backfield like Rivera was getting push back too many times last year.

Well, we did just change head coaches. Davis is a bit of an anomaly, though. Players with his size, strength, and athleticism are so rare you can't build a philosophy around them.

Hopefully guard, but if the money is what I'm hearing, probably tackle.

I hope not. We need him to replace Rivera at guard.

On this board not one single person was sad to see him go. They also claim that it was a missed block by davis that resulted in the injury to Leinarts shoulder that knocked him out of the last two games.

Thanks for the link to a Cards board. Yeah. They've won a lot of games and championships in their stretch of existence.

Has any of their missed blocks resulted in a QB being knocked out of multiple games?

Are you seriously going on about one missed block?

it happens...players arnt perfect...WR's drop some...RB's fumble some...QB's throw picks

OL's occasionally miss blocks or forget their assignment

You really are reaching today.

You guys just do not want to face the FACT that this guy is not a quality tackle- he is no better if as good as Colombo. At guard- fine- if they can motivate him and keep him playing hard. BUT NOT AT TACKLE.
