I like Nixon. He’s jumped up the charts and seems in the 10 spot for a lot of rankings.

we’re in a very good spot to get a possible all pro.

Still, I love dominant DT’s and I think Nixon would help the DL immensely. I do want to see how he tests before I feel good about him at 10.

I don't think any DT in this class is worthy of a top 10 pick, even Nixon/Barrimore. Best case scenario, probably somewhere within the top 25.

I'm not here to hype anyone. I do think DT is a big position of need and when I look at DT I want to see a guy who can take on the double teams and still win the battle up front. Nixon does that, he constantly will face double and win those battles. I think it is still early in the evaluation process as teams start taking a closer look at these players. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a combine this season so scouting department will be putting in more time in film rooms looking at these prospect and hopefully teams will be able to bring guys in to the facility to work guys out. Based on publication many view Nixon as later 1st early 2nd but then these are just publications

Right now, you’re right. What I’ve been saying is that Nixon will rise closer to the draft. It’ll all depend on how he performs at the pro day/interview processes... which I think he will excel at.

I could certainly be wrong about that but it is what I think will happen.

It’s going to be interesting where he ends up.

I think both Nixon and Barmore have cemented themselves as 1st rounders. With good workouts either could rise into our range. Pass rushing DT's are very valuable

It's very possible he could rise through the process. I read something awhile ago off of Walter Football, says the NFL people view him as a late 2, early 3, but could move higher with a strong off-season. As I said earlier, heard there might be some character/immaturity concerns with the player as well.

Obviously I know they don’t mean a ton at the moment...but Kiper put Nixon at 10 and McShay at 13 in their 1st rankings. Again, it’s way early and I’m not saying Kiper/McShay are the end all be all, but at the same time they are indeed highly connected and wouldn’t rank a guy that high if they weren’t hearing hype about Nixon from good sources.

Not saying the Cowboys will or won’t take Nixon, but aside from a handful of people the general consensus here is that Nixon doesn’t belong in the conversation at pick 10 from a rankings/talent stand point and I don’t quite understand.

Fully know Walter football isn’t a great source, but you look at all the big boards, he is being projected as a top 60 prospect, where only espn has him ranked that high.
