Draft Day ****Day 3 Draft Thread****

Let's hope lightning strikes twice or maybe they'll convert him to safety

Overview
Big, strong cornerback with the dimensions to get excited about, but a lack of cover traits could get him beat unless he finds the right scheme fit. Jackson's length and strength will be appealing for cover-2 teams looking for a banger who can drop and use his size as a deterrent against touch throws. He has some ball skills when he's in the neighborhood, but may not be in the neighborhood often enough to become an NFL starter. Teams could transition him to a safety spot early in his career.

At 6-4, 275, I wonder if Joe Jackson is a candidate to play inside. He has power but not a lot of speed for the edge. Could be a LDE and 3-tech, because you know how much we love versatility.

I absolutely don't mind throwing bodies at the 3-tech spot and seeing who sticks considering how important the spot is in this defense. We don't know how Hill will work out, so might as well get a guy like this who has the production without some of the measurables.

I also think we might be looking at Michael Jackson as a safety option instead of corner, but his length does fit Richard's corner profile.

This site is beyond knee-jerk negativity today.Player you've never seen play a down, because even if you were watching Central Florida/Penn State/ Memphis you were of course focused in on "our" player all along and the guy from Houston-Nevada-Utah State or Massachusetts(!) (!) (!)just has to have been the clearer choice.

And to think out of the box that the Miami kid just might be an excellent Safety conversion never occurs to our draft genius'??? The guy runs a 4.45 at 210 pounds and like to hit,4 INTs in 10 games in 2017....sounds like a safety.

Disgusted totally with the past two days. We are Cowboy fans today is a day for hope!

Barely care what the experts at the Ticket were pet-catting,Years of watching drafts from Doug Flutie,Tim Biakabutba, Marinovich-12 year Pro-Bowler, and Ryan Leaf/Peyton Manning controversies tells me we always have to wait til pads go on.

I think this seals Crawford going back to DT...or they suspect Crawford is getting suspended for a long time.
