Who you take that was available at our spots?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_NFL_draft

Mine:
1) DT Malcolm Brown
2) RB Coleman (although hard to argue with Gregory here)
3) CB Steve Nelson
4) OL Chaz Green
5) DE Russell
7) S Holliman
7) CB Justin Coleman
7) OG Shead

or...
I stick with our first two picks
and take
Hardison, Jarrett, or Bennett in the middle rounds

1) CB Byron Jones
2) DE Randy Gregory
3) OT T.J. Clemmings
4) RB David Cobb
5) DT Michael Bennett
7) CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu
7) WR Antwan Goodley

Loved the first 2 picks Jones and Gregory.
In the 3rd instead of Chaz Green I would have taken Clemmings. He has a foot injury but he drafted to be a backup, he has time to heal

In the 4th I take David Cobb to shore up RB. Tempted to take Ajayi but staying away from that knee

That 4th round pick of Damien Wilson stings right now. On the board was Ajayi, Cobb, Grady Jarrett, Rashad Greene, Brett Hundley, Stefon Diggs. I'm ok with the rest of the draft except that 4h round. I don't see that big of a need at LB to justify passing on all those guys for Wilson, a guy we could have gotten in the 5th.

Lets hope Wilson is a stud or at least as good as Hitchens. If one of those other guys turn out to be a star, its going to look ugly.

Butterfly effect aside...

RD1 CB-Byron Jones
RD2 DE-Randy Gregory
RD3 DT-Xavier Cooper
RD4 RB-Jay Ajayi
RD5 CB-JaCorey Shepherd
RD7 WR-Tre McBride
RD7 OT-Laurence Gibson
RD7 DT-Bobby Richardson (UDFA signed with New Orleans)

Hard to argue with the first two picks. Honestly don't dislike the rest of Dallas' draft either. Understand the logic of taking Chaz Green. I just slightly prefer 1-2 other players at the other rounds. Willing to risk a 4th on Ajayi's knee lasting 6 years.

That's actually very close to what I would do. Cooper is perfect for this D, no way we should have passed on him in the 3rd.

Being honest, and not looking to see who went where but actually pretending I'm on the clock not knowing the future....

  1. Malcom Brown, DT ...would have taken him would end up causing issuse in my draft later
  2. Randy Gregory, DE....this would have put me in a hole for both RBs and CBs, but would not pass
  3. Steve Nelson, CB....not fully comfortable but it's the 3rd rd
  4. Jay Ajayi or Cobb, RB ...wouldn't pass at this point, though Langford would've been nice. Would take Jarrett (DT)if I went with Byron Jones in 1st
  5. Tyrus Thompson, OT....maybe Darron Smith(FS)?
  6. none
  7. Laurence Gibson, OT or Tre McBride, WR
  8. 7b) La'el Collins, OT or Shane Carden, QB

As a whole i loved this draft. Only picks that had me like "huh?" was the 5th round and our 1st & 3rd pick in the 7th. I would have liked Malcom Brown a little more than Jones but if our scouts , coaches, and front office think we dont need a DT then ill let that go. This was a weak draft class and i think we walked away one of the winners with how we used it.

1. Byron Jones, CB- Nothing really needs to be said. we all know

2. Randy Gregory, DE- Potnetially stole the best player in the draft late in the 2nd

3. Chaz Green, OT- This pick pissed everyone off because of his rankings by glorified internet scouts on cbs, nfl.com, walterfootball, draftek, etc. Fills a need this year and fills a different need next year. good pick

4. Damien Wilson, LB- Hitchens clone.

5. Anthony Chickillo, DE- practically the same measurabels as Ryan Russell. Can play multiple positions on the line and seems more ready to play right away than Russell.

7a. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB- Perfect corner for our defense. on IR all year and gets his chance to shine when mo and carr are gone next year.

7b. Laurence Gibson, OT- Raw as raw can be. Perfect project. potentially Greens replacement at swing tackle when Green takes over for free. on Practice squad all season

7c. Thomas Rawls, RB- We almost had him but Seattle stole him today. really the only back this late in the draft that can compete for a spot as one of our 3 backs.

Love this draft. Sub out Goodley for La’el Collins and this would have been a draft for the ages.

The Green pick and lack of RB are the telling signs to all these grades. I went and looked at CBS rankings. Green was ranked 16 for OT's. Before our 3rd pick 10 were drafted, probably would have been 11 but we all know about Collins. Odds are he would not have been there in the 4th as two more were drafted before our 4th pick.

Ifo is interesting. A torn ACL doesn't drop you from a 1st round projection to the 7th. The secondary starved Eagles took the Kansas kid instead of Ifo. Very telling if Kelly doesn't draft a Duck.

seeing how the draft went and with hindsight, I'm sure a few of us would have traded up for a RB. We got snaked inn two rounds.
But on draft day we wouldn't have know this.

Yea I could see the Ravens stealing Chaz green in the 4th. They always take the players we like and they run a zone blocking scheme as well.

And I feel ifo is worth the chance with a 7th. I always saw him as a 3-4 round talent that got over rated because he is a duck. If he was able to get healthy I think he would have fit nicely as the nickel corner.

I think Green and Clemmings are going to be compared to each other for quite sometime. It will be interesting to see how they both fare in the NFL.

I like Green. I just think Clemmings will be an exceptional player.

1. Byron Jones CB
2. Randy Gregory DE
3. Tevin Coleman RB - I was hoping we would trade in front of ATL in the early third to get him. So I traded our 3rd, 4th, and a 7th.
5. Michael Bennett DT
