Do you expect to win every game by 30 Dbair?

This is the NFL and I've done my fair share of complaining about this team, but I've realized after watching the Jets murder Brady, the Eagles losing to the Raiders, The Stealers losing to the Chiefs, The Bengals laying an egg in Oakland that the NFL is tough to be consistant.

For all we know the Cowboys will win 35-13 on Thursday and you'll be back on their jock. Take the win and look foward to next week.

The QB was off, the RCVRs weren't open and the skins were playing hard. We didn't execute.

Well put. I blame execution far more than coaching, and I am not big proponent of this coaching staff, except Joe D.

Nothing like a Wade Philips coached football team to sap the enthusiasm outta ya when two weeks ago things 'appeared' to finally be building and coming together...Then reality sat back in again.

You can dish out blame all around...Players get it, coaches get it, GM/Owner gets it, etc...Bottom line is that the Cowboys are incredibly inconsistent and are perpetually failing to build on anything they build up on in the past 3 seasons...Anytime they start to gain some momentum and appear to turn a corner, they crash back to earth and inexplicably show cracks and errors in areas they seemingly had gotten past

The irony now is that the powder puff Raiders are in town to prepare for that dreaded month of December...Either they finally turn a corner or they continue to flounder as they have in recent years...Although, with the way they've looked of late, even the Raiders are no gimmee

terrible spin.

if coaches/trainers didn't know Tony was hurt THEY SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY.

HEY COACH I HAVE A CONCUSSION BUT I CAN PLAY... OK GO BACK IN.

:laugh2:

How many times did Brooking say he checked in on Romo?

you also have no clue as to my credentials so please put a cork in it about that.

stop your spin & blind homerism please.

Because you think they should have? What the hell do you know about the situations? Where you down there? What did the trainers on the sideline says? what was Romo saying about being ready to go? Yes coaches listen to players on how that player feels because he is the only one who really knows if he can go or not. But you sit at home watching the TV and talk about gutless? You don't know what you are talking about.

Romo had a lower back bruise not a concussion. As for your credentials you have none to speak of you were not there on the sideline to monitor jack. How can you make the call or know what the right call is without knowing what is actually going on? This is not homerism this is common sense something evidently you don't have all you have to offer is some guttless comment which is comments like this is all you ever offer up.

I know Washington is "bad," but let's not forget that they hung with Atlanta, and beat Denver even with Orton in most of the game. They are playing better than they have all season. I don't want to hear how many players they were missing because we were too, and if you ask me Rock Cartwright and Betts are better than Portis at this point in their careers.

I think Romo checked out with the medical staff or he wouldn't have been in the game.People can say that the injury had alot to do with his play yesterday, but without being on the sideline or knowing the severity of the injury one cannot truly say.

Chinch keeps talking about some concussion which there was no head injury to Romo. He has a lower back Contusion (aka Bruise)

Atlanta scored in the 30's didnt they?

And Orton got knocked out late in the first half. By that time he had almost 200 yds passing, a couple of tds and Denver had close o 300 yds offense.

Rock Cartwright is a JAG. He wouldnt even make our roster.

Look how lousy our offense has been the past two games and tell me what the results would be if we were missing 3 or 4 starting OL's, Jason Witten, Barber and Jones and our best defensive player.

No, and I've made that blatantly clear several times.

Again, 7-6 against a lousy team, at home. One week after you stunk up the joint against GB.

I hope we do, will be pleasantly surprised because as bad as we are offensively right now, I just dont see us putting 5 tds up on anybody. Especially when we've scored only 4 tds in the past 3 games.

The Commanders have a pretty damn good defense dude. They have been playing with confidence ever since the 2nd half of that Falcon game. Not to mention it's a division rival and you know they gave every ounce of their energy to ruin our parade. Just take the win.

I caught the concussion part of the thread.I'm just saying that the medical staff will not allow a player to play if they think they are subject to further injury.Whether that injury is to the head or the buttocks.

we all know that. i was making a more obvious point with concussions even the most ignorant football fan or coach knows concussion = sit and don't play.

but in all reality you have no idea of the extent of Romo's exact injury so you can't minimize it as a "bruise".

we all saw the hit and there was OBVIOUS evidence he was in pain and his performance was DREADFUL.

it was a stupid, unnecessary risk to keep playing him, especially since he was dreadful.

how much did KITNA get? we traded a STARTER for him.

BINGO.

This assumes said staff is taking the best interest of the player in mind first and foremost, thinking long term not just 30 minutes ahead.

Romo never left the field to be examined so he wasn't properly examined beyond vocalizin "i can play"

Unfortunately our staff panders to jerry and superstar athletes. Trainers on many teams are clueless (see my concussion references).

rembember on hard knocks Spencer skipped his treatment then wade embarrassed himself trying to discipline him. LOL

I agree. Even Romo admitted that had it been something of a more serious nature then that would have forced him to stay on the bench but it wasn't so he sucked it up and got back out there. Part of what football players do. If guys only played when they felt good we would need a lot more than 45 men game day rosters. :laugh2:

Bingo? You keep talking concussion there was no concussion he was a lower back contusion. It hurts but it is something you can play through. If the pain was more than Romo could bear then he would have been sitting.

i know he didn't have a concussion are you really this limited mentally?

WHAT HE SAYS HE CAN PLAY THRU (what you call PAIN) HAS NO BEARING ON THIS.

he was INACCURATE & PATHETIC after a BIG HIT.

OTHER PLAYERS WERE CHECKING ON HIM

are you that dense that you can't follow this?

I just never understand why Cowboys fans cannot give the opposition any credit.

I haven't seen Green Bay and Washington play that much this year but:

Green Bay is 3rd in Overall Defense
Green Bay is 4th in Run Defense

Washington is 1st in Passing Defense
Washington is 4th in Overall Defense

If you want to buy into the Cowboys being 5th Overall in Offense, then you have to give our last 2 opponents credit as well.

Those were 2 fairly good defenses and people are out of their mind if they thought the Cowboys were capable of scoring at will on those defenses.
Great post! On top of that you throw all records out the window when you face the Commanders. We could be 8-0 and they could be 0-8 and we would still get there best effort because of the rivalry.

It is football players play with pain he was checked out and the only one who would know the type of pain he was in was Romo himself. I don't care if guys where checking on him to see how he was doing it is part of the game. Maybe if you ever played the game you would understand that but evidently you didn't because had you, you would not be making these stupid statements.
