I'm pretty sure Suisham almost missed that kick due to a bad hold by Henson. Could be wrong though, I'll have to check the video.

I saw it the same way, JP. I'm pretty sure Henson didn't get the ball in place smoothly and the timing of the kick was off.

I too was happy w/ Green's returns. He'll get better as the season wears on.

Our special teams play should be rock solid this year. They should help us win a couple of games where as last year, they cost us about 3.

Who's our equipment mgr? I noticed too many slips last night. It was especially odd considering the game was played on artificial surface. It was only a preseason game, so no biggie, but had it been a rgular season game...

I'm a big Pat Watkins fan too, but I'm not ready to hand the starting job to him. I think best case scenario is for him to excel on ST and come in on 3rd and longs before we talk about starting him.

Henson should've played the 4th. JMO. W/ that said, I'm very happy w/ Romo's performance and I prolly won't freak out if Bledsoe goes down for a game or 2.

The front office should be active searching through he waiver wires for OL and WR, especially if Crayton's injury is serious.

Starting OL hasn't gelled yet. This is the big concern, along with Crayton's loss.

is it just me, or did they run to the right alot? I think we struggled because we ran at our worse side of the line most of the game, you know how Bill does in preseason, doesn't have a plan other than to evaluate and get players needed work

I really haven't noticed, but if true he prolly wanted to evaluate the play of Columbo and Pettiti as you mentioned.

I HOPE BP decides on a starter for RT (sooner than later) and sticks w/ it rather than having a platoon. It works for some positions (RB), not for others (every other position).

That's the one thing I don't think anyone has brought up yet. This has to be the first highly promising preseason game kickoff in a LONG TIME! Not only the preseason, but even during the first regular season game, it's usually the Titanic around the Zone, but this year, all we're doing is arguing about the incredible depth we have and players that should be seeing more time.

Thank you Parcells.

:hammer:

As for another comment aboe, not sure how no sacks against can be misleading.

Sure Romo can move around more, and yeah Bledsoe is a bit of a statue back there, but be honest, could Romo have brought us back against San Diego, San Francisco, Kansas City and Carolina last year? Don't think so.

Hopefully for us, it was not just a mirage last night and Romo is ready to step in should Bledsoe get injured. However, he should not be our starter in Jacksonville.

overall this has to be the best preseason opener we've played since Parcells got here IMO...we look like a deep team and barring a run of really bad injuries to a few of the key guys, we should be in good shape
I thought we looked pretty decent for the first preseason game. If it were the last preseason game I would be worried.
