The kid is barely 6 foot tall, so he has to throw through Windows and/or use many wild arm angles to throw over and around both defenders and offensive linemen. Maybe the coaches didn't care about winning and just wanted to test the QB from the pocket vs a very good defense, but you use a short 4th string QB in his first NFL start and you never move the pocket, roll him out, or pass from boot-leg action? Really?

Not that I think any of our QB's filling in this year have much potential, because I don't.. But it cracks me up to no end that if Romo misses a few games, he needs a couple games to shake the rust off, but this kid gets practically no first team reps and everybody's ticked because there's no chemistry with the WRs.

everybody's ticked? I thought pretty much everyone thinks he just sucks and has done better than they thought he would.

Buffalo ran 61 plays. Lee was in in 15 stops. Do he math on that one. Dude is a straight up boss

I have a question about the "losing the team" thing.

Is it any better when you have them on the same page and it is wrong?

This is what the ninth or tenth game where the game unfolded the exact same way.

Offense does nothing. Defense keeps it close until just finally collapsing out of exhaustion.

That sounds like most of the Campo losses until the very end.

Is that healthy for a football team?

It means when the players just give up, and you can tell when that happens. It has not happened to this team. They just need better players or smarter players. These players play hard, and that is on the coach. It doesn't mean wins, as we seen how they break down at the end of games, how they settle for FG and not TD

But they still give it an all out effort.

No doubt the weather hurt him today.....But all you that think he can't play..are nuts. I don't think there was another QB in the league that could have had success today.

Bad coaching....

Wet footballs....

WRs dropping everything.....

Bills pumping noise into the stadium.....That train horn was just BS. League should take away a draft choice like they did to the Falcons.

And throw in a defense that has folded 8 times this year.....

Nobody was gonna come out of there w/ a W. :(

And that's what everyone is gonna look @. The poor stats and the loss.

Regardless of all that....7 of his 8 possessions he drove them into Buffalo territory......

Enjoy the draft choice...because that's what a loser really cares about. How about finding a QB for the future?...I think that might be a tad more important.

Seriously? Wow, everyone sucks but the QB.
But mom, it was the aliens, it really was.....

So do the Browns. It's a results business.

So the bad weather in GB caused Cassel not to win, and dropped balls, and cheese balls....?

In a windy conditions like today, his physical limitation was a big factor.

It's too bad because he's got poise and seems to know how to read the defense and run an offense. That's hardest part for a young QB to learn.

Probably coaching is gonna be his ultimate calling. I saw the limitations today of his arm and that is all I was wanting to see. Hope he bounces back from that next week.

7 of his 8 drives ended in Buffalo territory..... he drove the team all day long despite everything that was against him.

And his accuracy was still off or we would have scored TDs

Don't mind looking for a QB of the future.......Kellen Moore is a back up QB of the future at best... And I am ok with that.

He is a camp invite at best IMO.

He can't overcome his athletic ability or lack thereof

The other thing people forget is that Moore would be twice as good with the same healthy version of Dez playing that everyone is used to seeing with Romo. Dez is a guy that you can just chuck the ball to, single or double coverage, and he will either catch it or make sure it isn't intercepted. That is tailor made for Moore's game and for what Moore needs. Instead he has TWill playing off and on, the Brice Butler audition and Witten completely removed from the game with double coverage.

I (BSU homer) was first surprised that Moore looked as comfortable and as in-the-flow of the game as he did last week. He looked the same way up to the 2nd/3rd qtr today.

But then he just seemed to become less and less affective.

He threw a number of passes nicely on target, a number of passes that were off target/ugly, and had a few drops and throw aways mixed in among everything.

IMO, his positives;
seems good at identifying defensive alignments pre-snap,
scans the field well and gets through a lot of reads,
moves subtly in the pocket to find throwing lanes and offset his lack of height,
can throw into very tight windows and his velocity is good enough for 25-30 yards down the field,
not afraid to challenge down the field,
cut down on his turnovers from last week,
looked like his teammates were shaking his hand and consoling him on the sideline as time ran out - he is a leader and his team mates want to play for him.

his negatives,
doesn't have much juice on his throws over 25-30 yards down the field and his deep outs floated in,
threw some strange wobblers that were just plain bad, and others behind his receivers (may have been the weather),
did he throw to Witten at all today, other than the screen pass?
Buffalo seemed to make some adjustments after the first few drives that led to Moore standing back there scanning the field but not finding anyone open,
he seems to make a bad throw or do something not ideally then come back the next play and convert a long third down with a nice throw,
he could of made a strong case for himself (maybe he did to the coaching staff) by going and winning this game and he didn't or couldn't do it. This is the big negative for me.

Moore had an ideal situation today minus having Dez and Bailey (most of the game) which isn't insignificant but he still had some weapons. And he got great support from the o-line and Mcfadden. He was mostly untouched the whole game and had plenty of time to survey the field.

He may not have a long leash for proving himself but he is still inexperienced, NFL-game wise, and may be able to put it all together with a few more games under his belt.

Maybe what Moore was today is the best he is going to be, but it is also important to note that his performance and points scored was eerily like Weeden and Cassel playing with roughly the same cast of WRs.
