It's not like he was under much duress either. Did he even get sacked? He had all day on some of those passes and they still came out ugly.

I like Moore enough as a backup, not a successor though. Moore makes intelligent decisions where he throws the ball and goes through his reads well to be successful as a backup. The WRs didn't help him out too much today but he gave them chances to make plays, which I liked.

Well I was disappointed, but I thought the weather would be a factor.
buffalo mainly ran the ball dallas was passing too much.

I want to see him play washington at jerry dome, no weather, 1/2 our games are played there.
So lets see if he does better in next game.

Also about redzone, I did not like the play calling and neither did moose.

I am pretty sure jerry has told them not to win, so the coaches may not call the game as they would if trying to win.

I'd like to see Dallas carry three QBs on the roster next season and I'd like to see Moore as one of them. The kid will never be an every-down QB but he can win games here and there with the right cast around him. I'd keep him as the third QB option, though, and try and find a better backup through the draft and/or FA.

I think that, with a little more development, Moore could drive the bus in a pinch.

Unfortunately, this team needs way more than a bus driver to have a chance at wins each week. They need to invest money in a QB this offseason.

If WRs catch the football he is 23/31.....for 300+......but everyone has an agenda to protect their job. Someones gotta take the blame for the tank job.....so let's blame the lowly 4rd string QB. @ least he was out there trying. For the rest.....I can't say many out there were giving their best effort. Signs Garrett has lost the team.....:(

For once, I actually agree with you about KM.

My thoughts exactly. I'm okay with him being the #2 next year. But he is not the future. That being said, I wouldn't force a top 5 pick on a QB either. This crop isn't elite

While Moore has been ok, I would want him as the #3, at best for next year.

IMO he doesn't cut it if Romo goes down again next year.
Either draft a guy or sign a better backup in the offseason.

I (BSU homer) was first surprised that Moore looked as comfortable and as in-the-flow of the game as he did last week. He looked the same way up to the 2nd/3rd qtr today.

But then he just seemed to become less and less affective.

He threw a number of passes nicely on target, a number of passes that were off target/ugly, and had a few drops and throw aways mixed in among everything.

IMO, his positives;
seems good at identifying defensive alignments pre-snap,
scans the field well and gets through a lot of reads,
moves subtly in the pocket to find throwing lanes and offset his lack of height,
can throw into very tight windows and his velocity is good enough for 25-30 yards down the field,
not afraid to challenge down the field,
cut down on his turnovers from last week,
looked like his teammates were shaking his hand and consoling him on the sideline as time ran out - he is a leader and his team mates want to play for him.

his negatives,
doesn't have much juice on his throws over 25-30 yards down the field and his deep outs floated in,
threw some strange wobblers that were just plain bad, and others behind his receivers (may have been the weather),
did he throw to Witten at all today, other than the screen pass?
Buffalo seemed to make some adjustments after the first few drives that led to Moore standing back there scanning the field but not finding anyone open,
he seems to make a bad throw or do something not ideally then come back the next play and convert a long third down with a nice throw,
he could of made a strong case for himself (maybe he did to the coaching staff) by going and winning this game and he didn't or couldn't do it. This is the big negative for me.

Moore had an ideal situation today minus having Dez and Bailey (most of the game) which isn't insignificant but he still had some weapons. And he got great support from the o-line and Mcfadden. He was mostly untouched the whole game and had plenty of time to survey the field.

He may not have a long leash for proving himself but he is still inexperienced, NFL-game wise, and may be able to put it all together with a few more games under his belt.

Maybe what Moore was today is the best he is going to be, but it is also important to note that his performance and points scored was eerily like Weeden and Cassel playing with roughly the same cast of WRs.

I think the windy conditions affected his weak throws. If he starts this week, we can see if his passes look better playing indoors.

Unless he can improve his arm, we need a better backup to Romo next year.
