If you have a lot of pressure but your CBs are playing off you lose a lot of the benefits of that pressure.

Ummm, no.

And you drop interceptions anyway whenever you aren't hurt, Terence.

You guys should be thankful for some of the interceptions which Newman has come up with instead of taking the opportunity to rip him. Yeah, he's dropped a few, a couple against McNabb in 2007. The one at Philadelphia would have been a long TD for sure. However, the game was already over.

However, Newman saved your team's butt in the 2007 Buffalo game, the 2007 Commanders game, the 2008 Commanders game, and the 2008 Giants game.

Some of you need to remember some of those plays, because three of them were in the division.

"Your team"

So I guess he did all this when he wasn't hurt with something. He must have had his Deion act going minus the INTs.

That Deion act gets old when he's hurt with a sprained pinky or a pulled middle toe.

Is he related to Stanback or are they co-conspirators?

Your over reaction to one major injury in 6 years is comical.

It's obvious that you don't like the guy.

I just gave four examples of where Newman saved, yes, "your team's" butt.

It is your team, isn't it?

Talk about a terrible excuse for not making plays in the secondary last year. Too many sacks? Huh?

Riiiiiight.

I don't understand the concept of too many sacks. That's like too much money, too much fun, or too much sex.

You've obviously never been to prison.

I feel that interceptions are a lot of luck. We had more than a few * talking Bucs fans on TrueBlue before that game. At the time Tampa Bay was leading the NFL in interceptions and I being bored when to NFL.com to see how good their pass coverage was at the time.

I think they had 12 total interceptions. After seeing each and every one on the NFL.com game reviews, two were good defense and the remaining 10 were pure coincidental luck. QB's were throwing the ball into the back of their offensive lineman and Tbay was coming down with random carom shots off of helmets. Twice that happened.

There were multiple bad throws that receivers batted up into the air. At least another was thrown directly to the LB'er with not a single offensive pass eligible player in the screen.

Plain Jane old fashioned luck.

He's hurt constantly

Where've you been?

And tell him to don't ever run to the Star again. That was pure stupidity.

Play hurt.... Deion is a *****. Not a good role model

Deion got INts. Newman drops them when he does play. Act like Deion. Act like a biotch. Deion was like a girl. Start playing football.

Twice in 6 seasons is constantly? What I meant to say was he's only missed games in two of his six seasons.

I was going to say the exact same thing. How anyone can say the words "too many sacks" is nuts.

This guy should be reassigned to doing stories about Rowdy.

Technically he was hurt when he came into the league. Pretty sure it was a shoulder. Or shoulder concerns or something.

Anyway, I think the issue is regarding the recency of his injuries.

I think the issue is an over-reactionary response with an defeatist attitude. He might have had an injury coming into the league, but I don't remember it. Moreover if there was an injury, he never missed a game because of it.

Someone like McNabb is constantly hurt having finished back to back full seasons only twice, and never making it three in a row.

T-New got 48 straight games before he missed a single solitary game.

"Constantly injured" is laughable in my opinion. It smacks of the "realist's" pessimistic attitude.
