To a Team with the exact personel on the OLINE that got Dallas QBs burried, expectations are not going to be better than .500.

I think they had better take it one game at a time next year and forget all the distractions and hype. If they do that they could be as good as we thought they were going to be last year.

I look at holes and I see the lack of a big NT, questions at the Mo and cover, and weakness in run support by the deep DBs. I also see an offense that has failed this team for a very long time. And the latter is the big question mark even though I see little weakness on offense. They should cause every team in the league to sweat them all week long.

I have quit having favorable expectations for this team; I just watch the games and enjoy them, win or lose. Having favorable expectations causes me to become emotionally involved and inevitibly ends up with me having hurt feelings and depression. I quit that and I'm not going back. I still like football, I just no longer like caring who wins. I just want to see good football and I don't care who plays it.

Yeah, I know, I'm a bad football fan but I enjoy watching the games more that way. I was not devastated at last year's late season disasters, just embarrassed and actually somewhat amused.

I think Jerry cutting out all that deadwood will help the team improve and maybe even become a team again.

There is so much pressure for these guys to perform this year.

We keep saying 'no more excuses'. But I think they are learning that if you don't produce, even the most beloved players (Newman, Barber, Roy11) - will suddenly turn into villains in the court of public opinion.

Not that Newman or Barber haven't played well - its just that our 'stars' are knocking on 30 and haven't shown any signs of playing like a team.

That sentiment speaks volumes for our teams mental toughness individually and as a whole. Someone has a great Vela quote on their sig here about these turkeys and their inability to 'get it' ran Parcells away, and now their going to kick Mr. Rogers to the curb.

Then they'll get their Goldie Locks head coach, not too mean, not too nice, justttt righttt.

And when that coach fails, we'll learn and look back on guys and realize that they aren't very consistent, they constantly make mental errors, they are at the top of the league in penalties, and they lead the league in excuses every year.

At some point the blame has to fall at the feet of the players.
