I can tell Rob Phillips plays a lot of Madden... Not too many LBs come back the next yr from that injury and are the same! He is young so that's a plus but that's a tough injury for a LB!

My line: "I'm picking up some sarcasm."
Hos's line: "Well you should because I'm layin it on pretty thick."

I know I am a pessimist, and I was pretty disappointed about last year's Bobbing for Apples, I mean Draft but even I was and still am very excited about Brandon Williams.

What if someone dissented sarcasm the way you do hyperbole- you know, just a pet peeve. Would you give a damn?

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't... I know I wouldn't...

And why exactly are you and fuzzy trying to pick another fight with Hos in this thread?? How very mature of you...

I once heard a preacher on some TV station my mom watches say sarcasm was immoral,

Only if it's done right...

He has no potential whatsoever. Last year's draft was a colossal failure because it was focused only on Special Teams. None of these guys was ever envisioned as anything but a Special Teams player. It's true. I read it here. Several posters have proclaimed this. Shame on Rob Phillips for not knowing all hope is lost. [/sarcasm]

I think Brandon Williams has exciting potential as a situational edge rusher, but I think Jason Williams is the '09 'backer we should be hedging our hopes on. I think best case scenerio is we get 1 1/2 more years out of Brooking and start subbing JWill in starting at mid-season '11. If we don't think JWill is the answer at WILB I would'nt be surprised to see us address LB yet again in the '10 draft, which I would rather we not do.

Ellis blocked Spencer.

No way Dallas will let him block Williams and Buter.

You got younger.

Stay younger!

Young and hungry.

The problem is if we can't get a full year at the same level out of Brooking - our current best options are Carp and J Williams.

I think to be fair to J Williams, you got to give the guy a full 2 maybe 3 years to get used to the position. We all knew he was a project coming from a relatively small school, but with a lot of athleticism. On top of that, he's changing positions from college to the pros.

As for Hodge, I'm just hoping his knee condition isn't degenerative to the extent he can't be counted on.

I actually wouldn't mind at all if we come out of this draft with a true ILB prospect who could possibly contribute sooner rather than later - IF necessary.
