DC.COM Blog: Mike Hamlin Ready For Return

Campo wants to play him at SS as well as FS, but Mike Hamlin is a pure center fielder who has a knack for INTs. If Campo tries to have him covering TEs, RBs and WRs man to man, he will be putting this guy in a position to fail IMO.

even if he failed, he'd still be better than Ken Hamlin... that guy has horrible ball instincts...

Well if he performs well and can stay on the field, that will be fine by me. Anything to get the other Hamlin off the field.

Can anyone give any information as to what type of talent is he?

How athletic is he?

Any info would be appreciated.

He is pure awesome-ness. No Homer.

I hope you're right.

Anything to speed the end of Ken.

I think if we ease him in now, get him used to the speed of the game, by the last 4-5 games he will be playing as well as we all though Patrick Watkins was going to be.

I still can't see why we don't plan Alan Ball more. All that guy does when he gets some time is make plays.

I'm not going to lie I dont know much about this guy. I'm going to have to do some research on him.

Anybody with some feeback on him chime in...

I love Alan Ball's game. He goes unnoticed with the other corners and I guess we have him at safety now but I liked him at corner as well. I'd love to see him get more time on the field.

Not that one. The injured one. What's his status? Should be back after the bye right?

Hamlin was this year's Scandrick in that he looked amazing in practice.

Then he got seriously hurt.
He was easily outplaying the depth safeties in TC.

I wasn't super high on him coming out of Clemson but he was far better than the other late round DBs when he got on the field. He shows good play recognition and will make plays on the ball. I suspect we'll find out soon if he can play on Sundays.
