He will still end up with like 1500 all purpose yards and be one of the most dangerous players in the league this season.

The guy is great. I dont think he is done yet.
Me either. Dude is a workhorse.

I agree.

.....but I do see this as a sign of wear and tear. He is on the down slope now IMO....and that's a good thing for us.

If he'd been able to stay healthy, I wonder what kind of career numbers he could have right now.

As an Eagle, I hate him. But it's hard to deny that he's just a great all-around player, both physically and mentally. That play where he slid down at the 1: all brains, no ego. I wish more players were like that.

an o-lineman(I think Runyan) told him to slide.

the best brains of all football teams are on the o-line.

I think Desean Jackson will have some similar issues throughout his career because of his size.

Quite possibly.

I'm just glad you're not saying he wont be good because of his size. I remember everyone dismissed him coming out of college because of his size.

Well, you dont play football on paper, you play it on the field, and the guy can play. I'm not sure that I'd rather have Jenkins than Jackson to pair with Roy Williams.

They always are drama queens with Westbrook's injuries, and I'm sure he has been hurt. However, he sure seems to come out in his cape and ready to play most of the time.

Here is my take on Westbrook:

Around the NFL, I think Westbrook is underrated.

In Dallas, I think he's a little overrated.

Did that make sense? :)

I agree. however. McCoy was a nice little pickup for them.

The dude will be 30 years old when the season starts and has 1647 combined catches/carries in his career.

Last season tied his mark for lowest yards per carry and was a career low for yards per catch. He has never finished a full season.

Compare that to LDT who is the same age, but has almost twice the number of combined catches and carries in one more season of play.

Westbrook torched us for SO many years and yards because Billy Parcells had very little in his gameplan for passes out of the backfield. Reid schooled him on this year after year after year after year. Once Sean Payton figured it out too, NO blew us out of the water and Detriot followed suit.

30 years old is the beginning of the end for a lot of the RB's, if they make it that long.

got that right... his injuries never affect his ability to make plays.

Simply not true - Westbrook has missed a lot of time over the years due to injury.

Unless he becomes a true superstar, I wouldn't want that guy on my team. He's a jagoff.
