I hope Bennett steps up. He could be a good one.

He dropped passes and blew routes, and did not appear to care. That is what this seems to be all about: Bennett does not seem to show the same drive to be a top football player as much as he wants to be an entertainer.

Yet your username is Hook'em#11. You seem betrayed.Hook'em#11;3293009 said:Effort doesn't always cut it. He hasn't made any special plays that I can think of. He isn't consistent at all. He also blows routes, and drops passes ala Bennett. The only difference Roy "talked" about caring. Bennett didn't. There is your difference.
Well, that and about 8.2 million dollars or so.

why pretend like that makes it ok that he likes to play the head coach role?Doomsday101;3293069 said:I have no problem with it, everyone knows Jerry is actively involved why pretend otherwise?

well if they did it in front of the team they were wrong just like Jerry was when he did that. that's the Head Coaches job. see that's the problem in todays NFL. people say things and do things that someone else is supposed to do because it's there job. Jerry's job as a "GM" is to bring in talent and let the coaches takeover after that. just because other Gm's do it too doesn't make it right.JBond;3293239 said:I am pretty sure other GM's have talked to under performing players in the past. I don't think it's limited to just the Cowboys.

that thinking is ok for running a small business not a billion dollar sports franchise. but regardless i'm done talking about this. we have 2 different opinions on Jerry and the way he does things.JBond;3293253 said:Jerry's job is whatever the hell he wants it to be. He writes the checks. I have my own small business and had to step in on occasion when there were issues. It happens. My point being what your version of what a GM should do and what others may think can be different. It's OK. But trust me if there is a major problem the guy paying the bills will want to be involved.
