DC.com Multimedia is falling off

I am not sure what you are talking abut. There are two videos up of rookie minicamp practices where you can actually watch the guys practice which you never saw before.

Actually they have done that before and at time it was longer clips IIRC.

There are interviews up for Martin, Lawrence, Dixon, and Street. There are interviews with Linehan, Marinelli, and Kiffin as well as the Garrett PCs. Leading up to the draft there is stuff from Ciskowski and McClay.

Yes but in some prior years they would have the rookies doing PCs like they did with TWill last year.

If you don't like Eatman hitting on Kelsy and the blonde girl I can understand but if nothing else they got Talkin Cowboys out from the hostage of Spagnola and Broaddus and Helamn do okay without Mickey dominating the narrative with weather talk and tennis.
I think Mickey is still on some of the shows, maybe the Cowboys Break ones. He is annoying but better than the blonde girl that just seems to sit and look at the computer the whole show. Also it was better when D.Eagleton was on there as well. Also hate when Eatman makes an obvious reference that most of us would get an nobody else in the room gets it because they are too young.

The draft show with Brugler has been awesome.

The draft show was the best of all the shows and I am sad that it is off now.

They don't have allot to offer unless you just wanna bash the Cowboys. Probably the best site on the internet for that.

Do you need me to link it for you? You up up the player and scroll through all the recents and they are right there.

The rookies had a quick turnaround and they didn't throw them to the media wolves. I am 100% okay with that.

The practice video is also not unique to this year. Neither are the individual interviews with the players. Mickey used to do them.

I don't see any video for Linehan or Kiffin although both did speak to the media. That's a problem IMO.

The draft show was GREAT and I still love Talkin' Cowboys but they took a step back with this new host on The Break.

My biggest problem is with the lack of video content from the locker room media sessions with the players following practice. Do this Fuzzy, use the search function for Players > May > 2013 and you will see a lot more content from years past. If you go back to 2012 there is even more. Individual 5-7 minute clips of each draft pick and premium UDFAs. Ed Cahill is being a lazy arse and I wish Eagleton would handle it b/c I know he's a stickler for detailed work.

You are making an assumption that it is within Ed Cahill's responsibility or grasp.

If the coaches are keeping the media at bay as they acclimate themselves to the NFL and playbook then that is a good thing. I doubt that Garrett has that kind of teeth but good teams like the Spurs and Patriots roll like that and having watched Garrett's pressers its obvious he prefers the less is more approach in regards to media as well.

It may very well be a lazy or incompetent media employee or it may be deliberate from within the command structure or simply a product of the demands of the new schedule. The draft is but two weeks old at this point and you are talking about 6 weeks of production time being boiled down into two for both the draft stuff and the early OTAs.

If you watch certain interviews of players in the locker room you will see others players being interviewed and filmed at the same time and those interviews don't make it up on to the site so it isn't that the team is limiting media availability. Also the interviews that are being posted have been edited to the most "interesting" parts instead of uploaded as complete interviews. Hence 30 second clips of each rookie talking about minicamp instead of letting us decide to watch the entire interview of each guy.

In my humble opinion, the've been lacking for a while. The absence of Derek just makes it worse. At least Derek kept everyone on topic and brought interesting discussion points to the table. If it weren't for Bryan Broaddus, boredom, and withdrawal symptoms, I would not even tune in at all, tbh.
Where did he go?

Promoted. He's now the Director of All Media not just Digital. When Derek was in charge the site won several awards for its multimedia content.

I know he is also over the forums on the site and it is a total cesspool....you have the worst moderating group of any team I'm 100% sure, when one of them is also a mod for another team as well...the rival teams trolls are free to do as they please but if a Cowboys fan gets back at them very hard they get reprimanded. So, if the media dept is his responsibility as well, I'm not at all surprised the media is jacked up too.

their forums are trash. but derek did a good job with the multimedia center. cahill is ruining it. with all the quotes from players today in the papers, we only get one video? just terrible...
