DC.COM: Pac Man has a bulging disk in his neck

You know, I don't even like QBert, but there damn well better be a fine coming down for what those Steelers did to him when he fumbled that punt.

Play was well over when they ripped and chucked him from that pile.

It was Frazier (#54). Colombo menaced him but nothing came of it.

Well Im bracing myself for a day similiar to monday after Arizona Cardinals game. This season has been cursed.

no kidding. It's pay day for injury gods. Good thing Scandrick is been the pleasant surprise he's been. He, not Jenkins should step in at RCB to allow Henry to fill in at S. For all the criticism Jerry's been getting this year, my kudos to him for this year's draft. All those guy's stepped up when called upon.

And I hate all this talk about how great we'll be next year. I hate it with a passion. I want us to win this year. injuries be dammed, we are going all the way!

Davis is out.

Not according to Davis or the coaches.

From Mickey's blog --

"As for safety Keith Davis, he has a third-degree of his MCL but insists he will be ready to play on Sunday. A third-degree sprain is the worst, but Davis said he suffered a similar injury in college and thinks he can play on it. The coaching staff figures he will miss some practice this week, but could be ready to play Sunday against the Giants, and point out he did return to the game in the second half Sunday after leaving in the second quarter with the sprained knee."

Whoa. So Rotoworld or Fanworld or whatever got it right?

Rotoworld usually has most things right as they source local newspapers for the most part.

Rotowire is the one that is 99.9% wrong.

Let us see how Goodell reacts...This has nothing to do with the injury curse, and everything to do with a cheap shot by #54. Here is a play by an NFL player that actually may cause Adam Jones the year with his dirty move, a move that is actually relevant to football, not some little tussle that Adam Jones was involved in.The irony of it all...

Based on the way every other single injury has gone this season I am 99.9% confident Davis will not be on the field Sunday.

The NFL needs watch the game film, I remember after one punt return hearing a player say something to the effect of "we are gonna kick your *** all night pac man." To me that shows they were intentionally trying to hurt him.

yeah i heard it to they were saying they were going to hurt his *** tonight:mad:

Yeah, I heard that on the sideline, too. "We gonna hurt you today, Pac!"

BTW, I'm not sure if it's when he hurt his neck, but besides getting yanked out of the pile, there was a play on a punt where (IIRC) the
ball went out bounds on the sideline and some Steeler went up and blasted him.

There was a lot of late hitting in that game... Newman got plastered in the back by a big lineman on the sideline, too. Guess that's okay as long as they call it the same way for both teams, but it was weird to see so much of that going on in today's NFL.

Don't players say this kind of stuff to each other all the time? It doesn't necessarily mean that they want to hurt each other in a way that is considered dirty or illegal by NFL standards.

Adam Jones will miss Sunday's game with the Giants due to a neck injury that could keep him out the rest of the season, sources said.

Jones is awaiting results of medical tests to determine the extent of the injury.

The cornerback suffered a neck injury against Pittsburgh and while he was able to return further tests revealed more damage.

It has been a turbulent first season with the Cowboys. He started the first six games before an altercation at a Dallas hotel with a team-issued bodyguard led to a six-game suspension. He returned last week at Pittsburgh and played in the sub defensive packages in addition to returning punts and kicks.

Despite missing the games, Jones leads the Cowboys with 13 pass deflection. He also has 28 tackles to go with a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
