News: DC: Cowboys Sign Two OL, One Linebacker To Reserve/Futures Contracts

NFL teams are allotted 90 roster spots during the offseason, as opposed to the 53-man limit during the season. With these three signings, the Cowboys currently have 76 players under contract.
Only fourteen more times to say who the heck is that guy to go.

In the mid 60's, chow lines used the practice...at my age, I really don't need the restriction. I think that old and krinkley about sums up my status.

We heard those rumors in the late 80's when I was in. Said they put the stuff in the MRE's...did not believe it. I did however believe the other story that the food was made to constipate you...because after you finally got a real meal...a workout was to be had in the porta pottie lol.

Hey, is there a proper 'Zone' where this sort of conversation can be 'deposited'?

lol, we really didn't drink nearly enough water back then...

Familiar with Jerrell Harris. Highly recruited player (5 star) who went to Bama with Ingram/Julio/Dareus. Harris never did live up to his expectations of his 5* status and pretty much rode the bench other than special teams.

Don't understand this move with Dallas and pretty sure Harris won't make it past preseason. I rather take a chance on a hungry rookie than scraping the bottom of the barrel for NFL players.

Not so fast....I think he's worth a look. Why? He's bounced around because all these 3-4 teams have tried to make him an OLBer.....I think he might have a shot playing inside @ the Mike.

Worth a shot IMO....;)

No its churning.

Nothing was churned. These guys were added, no one was let go. Then there is different kinds of churning. Churning butter is very different from churning raw sewage.

This is the time teams sign many players like this. Players we never heard of, the late round / FA types from the previous 2 to 3 year drafts.

Many of the PS players have been, or will be signed to the Reserved / Futures List.
Last I seen all of them signed except Darrion Weems and an OG Antonio Johnson.

These are the churn type players, and may find a depth guy or two. I don't recall too many in recent history that have stuck around though, if any at all.

Quick update- Darrion Weems signed a reserve-futures deal with the Broncos.

You can get plenty of rookies too. These guys are likely nothing more than camp fodder but you got to have guys in camp if got nothing else they know the league a bit. OTA is where you need these types of guts since some of your rookies will miss some of them

You guys have nothing better to do than blast someone's use of the word churning? Get a life.
