That's the most vocal statement from Jerry that I've heard yet. It probably won't amount to a whole lot as far as Goodell is concerned, though. Anything can happen. The biggest thing in EE's favor is the fact that he hasn't been charged with anything, due mostly to lack of evidence.
Regardless, Goodell has ignored such things in preference to seeing them as "not in the best interest of the NFL."
Otherwise, he'd probably decide to be lenient with EE, due to the fact that his cooperation should work in his favor.
Does one really think that is why Goodell has distanced himself from the issue involved with Elliott?
Incidentally, in his Hall of Fame speech, Jerry Jones plugged the integrity of Goodell as to his own contributions on issues.
Who said anything about Goodell "distancing" himself? As always, he'll be front and center, highly involved in the decision that he renders.
Haven't been following the issues, as he has delegated the investigations.
Nevermind, your opinion already is written in stone. So what? That's standard procedure. Business as usual.
Nevermind, your opinion already is written in stone.
...clearly...I beg to differ . . . I clearly stated that anything can happen.
