When Garrett had a better option, he used it. The front office even encouraged him to give Randle more carries last year and he would not do it.
2014
Murray 392 carries
Randle 51 carries

Garrett does not get too involved in the defensive roster. Most of that is between Marinelli and the front office. Garrett was on board with Ciscowski's plan to draft Floyd but Marinelli told Jerry/Stephen that Floyd was not that great and Jerry overruled Garrett/Ciscowski.

Garrett's favs have been Romo, Witten, Free and Murray. They hang out together in the off-season.
Romo: Garrett would not stop Romo from calling an audible to change runs to passes until Linehan arrived and Jerry/Stephen insisted that Linehan stick to the run.
Witten: Still plays 100% of the snaps even in blow out win or losses. Even played most of the snaps in the final meaningless game last season.
Murray: Garrett let Murray decide when he was in or out of the game which resulted in an unnecessary 392 rushing attempts in Murray contract season.
Free: Garrett fought with OL coach Callahan who wanted to start Parnell and bench Free. He had Free return to his starting position last season before he was ready and he just re-injured himself. He did this despite the fact that the backup was playing better than Free.

So when did Free and JG become great friends that hung out all the time?

JG had chances THIS year not last to get a better option for RB, and as a HC it is his job to tell them what he is looking for. I'm not talking about 2014 X of course he had a better option..lol

As a HC I would expect his input in all aspects of the roster and not just the offense.

I really don't care about the Free/Parnell debate everyone knows your feelings on that and really I don't feel like hearing it anymore.

I think I would be fired after Jerry sees the covert construction of the New White House at the new practice field...
I wouldn't be there long enough to get on their medical insurance...

Heck you Jerry hitting the bars, the clubs, you would end being his right hand man !!!!!

If you don't live locally you won't see and hear a lot of the stories about Garrett and those 3 being together often.

Garrett thought Murray was going to return. The only real chance that he would have had to bang the table in regards to the draft was in the 3rd round. There were not going to bypass Gregory for a RB and they were not going to draft a RB in the 1st unless Gurley fell to them.

I guess he could have insisted on a RB in free agency, but that would have to have happened before the draft. Also, they didn't know that Ryan Williams would not be an option until after the draft, IIRC. Williams seemed to be a bit of pet project for Garrett but re-injured himself in one of the 1st OTA practices.

Report says he has a back issue. Don't know how severe, but enough to keep him out of practice. Now that everyone's back on defense, I hope the coaches don't forget about this kid.

He's going to be a Pro Bowler in a couple of years, so doubtful they forget about him.

Yea, I agree his ceiling is sky high, but when you have depth at a position guys sometimes get lost in the shuffle (esp. if you're an udfa). Hope you're right though.

Like Gregory, I have a feeling this guy won't have a problem getting noticed. Chiefs fans certainly noticed when we grabbed him. LOL. If the Cowboys sign Hardy long term, we will have the best offensive and defensive line in football in short order.

Thanks man. Yeah, I like his potential too. If he's got anything, Marinelli won't forget about him, that's for sure.

Really want Chaz to get on the field this year to see what they have.

I doubt Chaz Green would ever take over the starting right tackle position this season. Of course, that is barring injury and he is up to speed with everything.

Maybe not starting, but Free has an injury history. Our backup T position is pretty terrible, Green could get time.

. I was pointing out there are a few players he's like that with and not just Free.. Like The Golden Cock, or Church, Carr, Jones, Heath just to name a few.

Your Randle comment isn't entirely true. They had plenty of chances to move on from him and they didn't.
1.He was stolen goods from a retail store
2.Threw Dez under the bus
3.Got into some type of domestic situation with his GF
4.Opens his mouth about Murray and the meat on the bone
5. Insubordnation on the football field
6. He an immature dude whose Talent is not first rd

Yes IMO he is attached to Randle for whatever the reason maybe. Not like hes a HOF player who warrants that kind of respect to be kept on the team.

I think the lack of Romo and Dez being available makes them leery of giving up on any skill players, despite his issues.

They won't let him play unless Free keels over dead. They'll likely keep Free as the starter regardless of how bad it gets and it's already really bad. Garrett is attached to Free.

well the parnell fan club was kinda full...

Yep, the club is getting bigger in retrospect when people watch Free this year.

You're sig line is great. How Keith is still alive is one of the real mysteries of the universe. He had to have made a deal with the debil. He was on Fallon talking (If that's what you call it) about his new solo album. I don't normally watch that show but I had to record it when I saw he was going to be on. I've seen the Stones is concern more than any other band.
