Mickey's writing style bothers me. Can't quite put my finger on it. Anyways, he does have some valid points if you can navigate through the fluff.

Me, too. He's too folksy. Too conversational. It's hard to take seriously.

I do like the guy, though. Lots of good stories from over the years.

Mickey's writing style and his employer are not conducive to critical, honest "reporting" when the franchise is in such rough shape. Back when we were fielding good teams I loved reading his stuff,,,,

Yeah, the guy is a walking encyclopedia of Cowboys knowledge. I don't really have anything against him, just not a big fan of his delivery.

He's more fun to listen to although that's a bit fluffy, too. I think he is critical at times but he is an employee. I think we should enjoy his fluff and stow it away with all the other information we get. We get a heck of a lot more information than we did in the 'good ole days'.

I just wish the guy running the sound mixer would equalize Mickey's voice a little better. I usually listen to the show when I'm mowing my lawn and go deaf when Mickey starts yelling.

That's a bit of a stretch being the worst in sports but he's not the best guy to write something either content or style.
