I think under the Dallas microscope he was just compared to Hayden and when he was in it was like we had an extra player out there so he seemed amazing for the 2 plays he was in.

lol very true

He was starting to play very well last year, and had some good games, until another injury.
This is the last year of his contract, so I look for some DT's to be drafted, if even later in the draft to push to replace him.

If he makes the team, he can provide some good rotational depth, but just limit his snaps if possible. Prefer to have a healthy young player for that though too.

Aldoupus Washington in the 4th may be a great replacement. actually would be a great replacement.

Thornton....a healthy Crawford....a healthy McClain

All three of those players are better than any DT who played for us last season (not counting Hardy when he moved inside)

I'd still like to draft a run-stopping, double-team eating DT in the top 4 rounds....both for the future of the position and for goal line and short yardage.

Another typical Dallas hype guy. We hear all about him for the two games a year he plays.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Counting on this guy is a mistake.

I have a feeling they believe the same thing they have thought for the last couple of seasons, that he is versatile and can play both spots but will ignore the lack of reliability.

That would be very disappointing considering you could not ask for a more talent rich defensive tackle draft crop.

A player chosen in the fourth round could be instantly better than he has ever been on his bestest, most healthiest day.

Happens every year it seems. There are these depth players that keep being touted as solutions that end up letting the team down every year by getting hurt.

Dunbar and McClain are a matching pair.

Maybe in a jumbo package. They aren't gonna put a non pash rusher at 3 Tech. If we get a 1 Tech, it probably wont be until very late in the draft or a UDFA, considering the starting 1 Tech plays about 25% of the snaps. That player would probably have a very good shot at making McClain expendable

Now another 3 Tech. Thats a different story A 3 Tech would be in play in the first round if one was available. However outside of maybe Buckner they're really isnt a player you can project at 3 Tech. A good chance we spend our 2nd or 3rd rounder on one IMO

The 1T only plays 25% of the snaps? I think Nick played more than 255 of the snaps?

That game he had against the NYG in 2013 or early 14' was absolutely dominating.......don't know if there is tape on it, but I'm sure that is what keeps the Cowboys giving him additional chances to stay on the roster......
