He does not yet have his moves and waist bend down yet, and he'll have to gain discipline to avoid those penalties he seems to get. every game
and make better not to be over influenced vs the run .

But he also displays strength and power in his game - and keep in mind that he is a lot bigger than Gregory was coming in the NFL, and he
will only get that much more muscle and strength once he's in the NFL offseason program

but we have to like that he's shown something in preseason- and he should get better as he gains more game experience.
Even if he is still in rotation, he could still be a heckuva player by season's end.

I see Sam Williams like our own Incredible Hulk.

The more upset he gets, the harder he plays and comes at you.

More in depth breakdown of Sam vs Seattle. There were a few of us who had pegged this guy as a steal, some even before the draft unlike me ha. I get giddy thinking about him inrushing with the rest of the first team defense.

The league has been warned.

Like what I'm seeing so far from Williams.
Let's see again after 8 games if he's getting sacks or becomes a ghost.

Around the 4:00 mark: "He throws the TE away..." He's talking about a TE who was just chipping as he ran by. I don't like this type of "analyst", who sees what he wants to see.

Not taking away from Sam's efforts, but don't make it more than it was.

Ya I thought it was a stretch too..ha

He is pretty good though...he called Micah a HOF prospect before the draft.

Cowboys drafted a BEAST in DE Sam Williams this year, and they got lucky he was still available late in the 2nd round with the 56th overall pick. Talk about a steal!

Sam Williams played most of the game tonight, and he was all over the field making plays everywhere. He had 5 total tackles (3 solo), 1 QB sack and caused 14 yards for loss against the Seahawks. He also had so many pressures and was so disruptive whenever he was out on the field, always moving and running towards the ball carrier nonstop. He is light years ahead and so much better than Randy Gregory ever was as a rookie or throughout his time as a Dallas Cowboy.

Can't wait to see Sam Williams teamed up on one edge with Micah Parsons on the other edge this season. They are going to be a menacing pass rushing duo for the Cowboys for many years to come.

:starspin:

Agreed ........ great post

Awesome breakdown! Thanks for sharing brother.

Sam Williams is a BEAST!!! He's got special skills that can't be taught. Very much like Micah Parsons. Sam Williams needs to be starting. Period. Cowboys don't need to be wasting time starting Armstrong or anyone else at Right DE. Alternate the other guys in when wanting to give Sam Williams a breather, but it would be best to play Sam a majority of the time like they did with Micah last year. Sam Williams can handle it.

I agree.

He will be starting by week 4, imo.

I hope the Cowboys start him Week 1. Would love to see Brady **** his pants when he constantly sees #54 breathing down his neck every single play! Then continue it against Burrow the following week.
