Gee I think the thread was started because he was a Longhorn, period.

Well, let's see-- this is a Dallas Cowboys message board... the Cowboys play in Texas, which means that the majority of their fans also come from Texas... and lots and lots of folks in Texas love the Horns too...

So, is it REALLY so unusual that a lot of the regulars in here would also be fans of the Horns??

On a side note I think Selvin Young is the sleeper of the draft but I'm a Longhorn fan too.

Young is a fumbling machine... wish I could tell you what the fans call him, but it would violate the profanity filter of this board... let's just say those fans dusted off an old joke for him:

What do Selvin Young and Billy Graham have in common??

They're the only two people who can get 80,000 people jumping to their feet at the same time, screaming "Jesus Christ"...

Better yet lets look at the Longhorn players who were big prospects and disapeared in the Pros. Anyone got numbers on THAT?

I can link you to a website that tells you all about ALL the Longhorns in the NFL, if you're really interested... be advised that it will show some busts, but a lot more who have been solid, productive pros, including some who have been stars...

I agree with your view on Selvin Young. Fumbler. He is not that fast due to a few injuries that took away his burst. He is smaller than I like to see in a running back unless the back has great, great speed. He is not a sleeper.
