What is missing is that he wants a huge extension, that’s why Arizona is trading him
I don't think this is actually true.

He's coming off 2 underperforming seasons (one of which including a suspension) and his current extension actually hasn't even begun........ (his current 2 year 55-million-dollar extension hasn't even taken effect).

At the absolute best he could hope for a trade and then a 3rd year added.

A 2nd with Will McClay at the helm is a bit rich, imo.

If he wants a large contract plus being 31?

I do like Hopkins game though.

In theory it sounds great based on what he's done, but between his injury history, suspension, age, and contract is it worth it?

A few years ago Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins looked like the best receivers in the NFL. Both have fallen off a lot. I certainly believe the best receivers can still be productive well into their 30s, but I don't know that Hopkins is the same player.

Besides hasn't Cee Dee drawn comparisons to Hopkins? Would it be better to have a receiver that brings some alternative skills that doesn't make 30 million a year?
