Suspension or not he’s missed a number of games the past two seasons. He’s had less than 1300 yards and 11 TDs the past two seasons. He’s aging and has had injury issues. He’s clearly on the downside of his career, which is why the Cardinals are looking to move on from him.
He missed 6 games the year before. We don’t know how many he’d miss last year because he was suspended for 6 games. You said the production wasn’t there- it’s not true. He produced when he was on the field.

The cardinals are looking to move him because they have another big money receiver and a quarterback whose gonna be out most of the year.

His overall production wasn’t there for a player you’re going to have to give up a couple of picks for, including a second rounder. He ended last season with seven straight games without a 100 yard game. His numbers were decreasing every week. The Cardinals are looking to move on from him because they know he’s on the downside of his career and can’t be depended on.

4 of those “7 games without 100 yards “ he had 98,91,87, 79 yards. I have no issues with you saying a 31 year old is on the downside of his career but don’t say the production wasn’t there.

Second rounder is also the ask. Doesn’t mean they get it

You left out his 60 yard game and his 4 yard game to end his season. Like I said every week his numbers kept dropping and he didn’t even play the last two games of the season. His production wasn’t there for a player who’s going to cost you 2 draft picks including a second rounder. We already made one stupid decision by trading away Amari Cooper for a fifth round pick. This would be an even dumber move, giving up two picks including a second rounder for a 31 year old receiver who’s had injury issues and is on the downside of his career. I doubt they’ll move on from him for anything less than a second round pick. However, I can’t see anyone meeting their demands because of the reasons I’ve given.

Hopkins' production was down last year, but this can be at least partially forgiven due to the absolute train wreck of a team he was playing for. The QB situation was all over the place and the coaching staff was in disarray.

I would offer a 3rd and see if you can get the Cardinals to bite. Heck, if they don't plan on retaining Diggs maybe you offer them Diggs for Hopkins and a 6th or something like that.

I hope the Jones boys are doing their research on this one.

Yes I left out his last 2 games like how you didn’t mentioned not including a 98 yard game and a 91 yard game when you said didn’t reach 100 for 7 games straight. He had a 160 yard game also. The numbers went down bc the team sucked and so did the quarterback.

Again you keep saying second rounder like you know definitely that’s what he gets. That’s the ask. That’s not a guarantee that’s what they get. I have no issues passing on the deal- I don’t care about getting him that much but don’t say he didn’t produce. He did. He would be a number 2 here and had 7 games over 60 yards in 9 games played…..Gallup had 1.

I also know that the other choices based on this front office is obj….who we have no idea how he’ll return and wants 14m based on his name.

No wasting any more time with this I’ve given my opinion.

Not only high draft capital, but also extending him to a heft price. We cannot pay two receivers 20 plus million, which Lamb will be getting soon.
Lamb should get 20 million...hopefully but with Stephen doing deals idk. Stephen can be a wildcard

thats what i was thinking as well

but i don't expect us to be in play for Hopkins at all .....a second rounder? too rich for us.
It’s not even about the second rounder. It’s about how much he wants per year.

Lol. Did you watch him at all last year? Guy had better stats than Gallup and had 4 different QBs playing. My god
Yeah , he wasn’t coming off an injury. And he’s a better player than Gallup. But he’s not worth a 2. Longest catch all year was 36 yards.

The reason why they traded Cooper was cause he was making 20 million annually and they cannot afford to keep all three. They can release Gallup after next season, but still cannot have two receivers making 20 million, with a QB making double that.
