everytime this freak is a topic anywhere, i remember this nice hit by Colombo from the 2006 game and just keep on smiling. He's simply not worth discussing

edit: hey, found this gif in the archive here, love it

One of the reasons why I love Marc Columbo.

Yeah I fail to see how a 300 pound Tackle smacking a 200 pound CB, while he's in the air, has any relevance to whether he's a good corner or not.

it doesnt. it shows hes a dirty player, i forget which rb that is under the pile but hall was about to jump on it after the play was dead and our heads up right tackle saved him

It's marion barber and he doesn't appear to be getting ready to jump on the pile. It pretty clearly looks like to me he's about to hurdle over the three guys who are on the ground in front of him cause he couldn't stop before running into them. He doesn't even remotely look like he's about to jump onto a pile.

I am not a huge Hall fan but that is just ridiculas.

Wow. So much negetivity towards this guy for what. O ya he yelled at his coach a couple times last season, who cares Petrino is a jerk. Sometimes all people need is a change of team. How many times have you seen so called bad attitude guys go to a different team and you never hear about there attitude anymore. mmmm i belive t.o and moss come to mind. Im very high on hall and i would love to pick up hall but we need to take care of hamlin and flozell first.

He doesn't just get beat. He gets torched. That game against Cincy he gave up 3 td's.

Does he have talent yes but he's not worth the headache.

I would call that used and abused... No thanks...Henry is better

Lmao D hall is sick. He has a bunch of bumbs in his secondary and i belive passing ypg against they were better than us so that must be because they got such great players like chris houston, chris crocker and o ya the amazing milloy haha if it wasnt for him that secondary would of been terrible. So people see him get burned by chad johnson in a pre season game a couple times everybody thinks hes overrated. And please dont bring up t.o making him look bad on national t.v t.o does that to everybody and like somebody in this thread said it was single coverage and both perfect throws and t.o only had 3 catches that game. Im not a hall fan myself but if we could get him at such a young age across from newman would be domination. If it doesnt work out this year then dont re sign him next season worth a shot.

I think its obvious that we'll be doing this in the offseason:

Trade #22 and 3rd rounder to AZ for Larry Fitzgerald
Trade #28 to ATL for Deangelo Hall
Trade 2nd Round Pick for Roy Williams

4th Round BPA

Championship!

:D

lol, while I initially meant it as a joke, it really wouldnt be that bad of an offseason, assuming we could somehow with everyone under the cap (there's NO way). We'd still need to take a guy like Justin Forsett in the 4th if he were still around, or sign a guy in FA like Mewelde Moore at RB. Like I said, I meant it entirely as a joke, but I can't say I'd complain if it actually happened lol.

Hall is totally over rated. He gets toasted routinely by top WRs. And sometimes by less then top WRs as well. He is also a head case. The Madden MORONS that want this guy really need to learn about football first.

I would love to get Hall as well. I think he's a quality corner and his attitude problems are way way overblown. It'd be nice if we could get him on the cheap.

Amazing how many do not do any research on Hall. That is the only explanation for anyone to think he is good.

Hall does get beat a fair amount. A lot of that has to do with his willingness to gamble.

Owens and Chad Johnson have had good success against him, true. But both are damn good WRs. And both have pretty damn good QBs throwing the ball to them too... And the thing that Hall doesn't have, is a good pass rush helping him out. Especially this year.

Hall is young, athletic, and can make plays. In Dallas, he would be a #2 CB. He wouldn't have to go against the top WRs.... And I think Hall would be perfectly suited for that. He is still developing.

The biggest problem would be contract extensions for him and Newman...which is why I'd probably refrain from such a deal. But the reality of it is, he probably would make a good #2 CB opposite Newman. And as he continues to develop, it would give us an athletic CB tandem who could probably do good against any WR tandems the league has to offer.

Hall is sloppy and undisciplined. He is a lot like Derek Ross was; except with more physical ability.

See this I agree with. Again, as I pointed out before, if getting beat by the top recievers in the game means that you suck then Deion sucked, Green sucked, Samuel sucks, Trufant sucks, and any other corner, good, great, or elite that you might bring up must have sucked as well cause they've ALL been beaten by the better/elite recievers of their era.

I'm certainly not saying he's the best CB in the NFL but anyone who honestly doesn't believe he's in the top 10 is doing nothing more than hating and I suspect that I had been on these boards 2 years ago I'd have read a LOT of the EXACT same thing about T.O. cause of his attitude.
