The 34-year-old Williams, who grew up as a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, wants nothing to do with the Cowboys -- mainly because of their fans.

"My fandom for the team I was raised as will not allow me to go to the Cowboys," Williams told Schefter. "I'm an '80s baby ... and the 49ers ruled the '80s. The Cowboys somewhat did something in the '90s; I even refuse to give them that. ...

"The Cowboys, they win. They just don't ever show up during the playoffs. They always disappear in the playoffs. I've got a great depiction of the Cowboys' fan base. During the regular season last year, they were on Cloud Nine. You couldn't tell them anything because they were going to win the 'ship -- that's all they said. Fans just got extremely super annoying. Then, the minute they lose, they either got cheated, somebody was hurt, the excuses start flowing. It's just amazing to me. That fan base just in general can't handle defeat. Still to this day, they say that the Dez Bryant catch against the Green Bay Packers was a catch!"

He spent the last 2 years playing for the Steelers and he's mocking our fan base?

DeAngelo on the same boat with Kapernik to the island of misfit and soon to retire players. Fair winds my friend.
Hilarious.

That describes every fan base on the planet but somehow it's just the Cowboys fans that annoy him? We're living rent free in this guy's head!

Any Cowboys players respond yet? His comments were really a knock on the players than the fans imo.

Wish Jerry would just call him to offer him a job, call his bluff. If he accepts then work his tail off during training camp. Let him be that last and final cut before the season starts.

He's going to be waiting a long time. All the Practice Squads are full.

Well, he's right. We don't show up in the playoffs
I was gonna say, he's kind of right on some level...for me it's the playoffs and getting cheated excuse but he's still a washed up bum and he doesn't want to be here.

He is right.I am a Cowboys fan and I cannot handle defeat.
You lose and lose until you win.The formula has worked. The Dallas Cowboys have 5 rings.D'Angelo Williams has none.
Apparently losing is fashionable and acceptable to D'Angelo Williams.
There are some athletes out there who while playing were allergic to losing.
Michael Jordan,Kobe Bryant,Michael Irvin...it was personal for them and I admire them for that.
Michael Irvin could not handle defeat. He has 3 rings.D'Angelo has none.Maybe D'Angelo is confused. He does not understand the difference between
overcoming losing vs acceptance of losing.

This is like a 250 pound whale on Tinder saying, "If you're not at least 6'4", 10% bodyfat and making six figures, don't even bother messaging me."

That's just DeAngelo living up to his reputation as a big mouth. It's easy as pie to spot a Cowboys hater and he fits the bill to a "T." I actually felt fairly amused when Terrell Owens spit in his face once, years ago.

To top it off, when questioned by the media, TO even admitted it proudly with no hesitation. In an odd way, it struck me as poetic justice.

DeAngelo was mouthing off the whole game, just like he did with everyone. Then, after the game was over, he started whimpering about it to the media. Meanwhile, T.O. had no regrets whatsoever. Strangely, it was like poetic justice had been done. :D

To be honest, he's spot on about our fan base.

A bunch of female behavior, especially on here. You can't tell nobody nothing, everybody is happy and thinks we are Superbowl bound, anyone who says "just simmer down" they are a hater or troll.

Then when we lose, you got guys talking about they are ready to give up on football, the refs cheated us, oh I always felt deep down we were not that good, ECT ECT.

Looks like your own team doesnt even want you. Why would the team with the best rb in game want you. Guess you wanted to make sure Cowboys werent asked first and embarrassed you with their response.
tnx....a Cowboy fan
