Dear Coach Parcells...

Dear Coach Parcells,

Let me first tell you that I think you're a great head football coach. I understand your philosophy and the way you want to beat a team physically because there is no way to get these dumb football players to consistently play well mentally.

Now for the point of me writing to you. Please retire tomorrow morning. Don't keep putting your hope in the fact that this team is going to all of a sudden one day 'get it'. They don't and they show it every week with the useless penalties and the disgusting mistake prone football.

I love this team and always will. I will continue to watch them flounder each and every week while breaking my heart as they did today. I'm stuck and I guess I love it because I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

But you are 65 years old and you have done things in the NFL that may never be duplicated. You rebuilt a few franchises and won two Super Bowl titles on the way. The Hall of Fame is where you belong, not on the sidelines with this team who just can't get out of their own way every Sunday.

I saw the look of disgust on your face at the end of that game. The sad thing is that not one player was near you saying sorry for that mess. They will be back to normal in a few hours at their million dollar homes. You, me and Cowboys Nation will be sick to our stomachs until next Sunday. To say the NFL game isn't what it once was is the understatement of the century.

These players are not focused enough to be 'old school' and get the job done every week. The sad part is that some of these guys are considered very good by the standards of today's NFL standards.

Jason Witten is considerd a top TE even though he gets a false start penalty every single week.

Anthony Henry is considered a good CB even though he gets twice as many penalties as he does interceptions then smiles as if it's no big deal.

Terrell Owens is considered a great WR even though he drops two passes a game and then complains he doesn't get enough passes thrown his way.

I know you don't want the last play of your career as a coach to be a game losing FG against the Commanders, but just let it go Coach and think about yourself this time.

This team is standing still and they are far from being a playoff team. They just play down to the talent level of the other team every week. They LOSE games instead of WINNING games. That's not a team you want to have on your record and it really sucks that you have to sit around and talk about these guys. The media is going to act like you can control a team being STUPID.

I love ya Coach Parcells. Get out while you are still alive because this kind of team will kill a coach who has his heart and soul invested in them. They are the epitome of the term 'a bunch of dumb football players'.

I agree with everything except the "retire tomorrow" thing. Let's let him coach out the season.

I have no confidence in this happening, but he has had teams turn things around in the second halves of their seasons so you never know.

I've been alive through 4 superbowl victories for the cowboys (I was born a few days after their first superbowl win). That's more then most every fan of other teams will ever experience. It's time I accept that they likely won't ever win another one.

I felt that was until Romo took over. We WILL turn this around. Just not this year.

Come on Rack, you know they will. It just doesn't feel like it right now.

I started watching the Boys the year after they won their first SB. I was a little kid, but I knew a winner when I saw one. But I know what you mean. I've been to the top of the mountain with my Cowboys and to the bottom of the valley. The Cowboys will rise again and that Star will be shining bright.

My wife and I watched Rambo II and had the Theatre system cranking. It felt good watching Rambo smoke everything and everyone in sight. It relieved some tesion.
Nothing like a little violence to make you feel better!

I wouldn't go that far.I've seen all 5 of their super bowl wins, and I believe they will win it again.I just don't think Bill Parcells will lead them there though.
