Sorry man but but id have a fit if the 1st 2 rounds went like that
assuming we keep melton then that would make bennett our 4th choice 3tech behind crawford-melton-coleman.
And dont forget we have chris whalley to add to the 3 tech mix-a player im excited to see what he can do.
And as for golden he is a less talented version of kony ealy in my opinon

The only way we keep melton is if he somehow went crazy the last few games or if he agreed to a contract that did not pay him what he was going to get paid if they picked up the option.

In other words...don't worry about Melton when talking about he draft.

Wpw Wpw is your worse one yet.

Golden? Come on man. That guy is not a 2nd round pick. He is not that good. I have him as a late 3 early 4

Trey Flowers - Mario Edwards 2 rounds

Preston Smith 3 rounder in the 2nd

I'd look for Michael Bennett, DT, 6-2 #290 Ohio State to be on our board

Warren Sapp Height: 6 ft 2 in Weight: 300 lb

if marinelli is still dc next year i think there is every chance melton will be.
Who has the most sacks on our roster this year?

Not been paying attention to the recent scuttlebutt with Melton have you.

Him missing the bus.
Them talking about possibly playing someone else if they were healthy over him.
Them not being impressed by his recent play.

Plus the idea that his price tag would jump up a HUGE amount if they kept him for next year with the current contract.

That is why I said that.

IF rod is gone...Melton might be gone along with Rolando.

I think if they get someone they like at the 3 in the draft and they keep Crawford...Melton is a goner.

Way to early to tell, but a good reason to talk about drafting someone no matter if melton is here or not.

agree.....

Watch last weeks SEC championship. Golden got pancaked 3 times in the first half alone. I wouldn't touch him after seeing that. He's gonna be a situational player...as a pass rusher...and he's really not that great @ that. I'd pass.

Yeah he is to slow. Kony ealy was better and he went late 2nd.

I'm not a Marcus Golden fan at all.

As far as Bennett, my thinking is this. if we move on from Melton it's because A) we plan on going after a major free agent like Suh or B) we think Crawford is THE guy at 3-Tech. So I wouldn't expect us to turn around and use another valuable resource on the position.

I dont think Bennett is a first rounder. Of we go DT in the first I would rather take Malcolm Brown. But given that he is a 1 Tech thats unlikley.

I think Orchard can play either side of the line, but long term I would rather he play RDE with Lawrence at LDE. Lawrence looks too small on paper, but he can easily play at 265 and he plays bigger then his size with his natural strength . At 265 he can stack the run like a 280 lbs DE

H Melton
3/18/2014: Signed a four-year, $29 million contract. The deal included a $1 million signing bonus. Another $1.5 million is available through incentives based on sacks and playing time.
If $1,000 roster bonus is exercised by the first day of the 2015 league year,

Melton's $9 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed for 2015. 2014: $1.25 million (+ $1.25 million in per-game roster bonuses),

2015: $9 million (+ $1,000 option bonus due in March),

2016-2017: $7.5 million (Option Years), 2018: Free Agent

Henry Melton increases his season-high sack total to 5 plus 10 tackles

I don't think he will be missed that much
