I am mixed about it. First its easy to get on board with everyone and hope this guy is the real deal. In reality we know hes a Tough SoB and we want to encourage that, but the real question is "is he a Cowboy?" we all know from the get go that Landry was a Cowboy and what made the Cowboys.
Joe D is not committed to us yet, to him it can be a job or a stepping stone. He probably doesnt want to be a ST coach for life nor does he have to be with us for his career. Does that make him a Dallas Cowboy?
I would have to ask myself is he a Dallas Cowboy and has he shown us he wants to be one of us? It takes a long time to answer that question, but the undying loyalty is worth it to some people.
Maybe its an outdated perspective. But i just feel before you go around using a Legends equipment, you should prove thats where your heart is.
The man might be gone, but his essence is with this team for eternity. And that boys and girls, is immortality of the best kind.
